Positive: I recently stayed at Nasama Resort and it was a really lovely spot. The location is excellent with beautiful views right on the water, and it has a very relaxed feel that makes it easy to enjoy your time there. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything about the resort felt welcoming. Port Vila itself is still recovering from the major earthquake in December 2024, and you notice signs of that around town with some buildings gone, but the people remain as warm and positive as ever. In fact, on the Saturday morning of my stay there was even a small 4.0 tremor — more of a shake than anything serious, but certainly a reminder of what the locals have been through. Driving around was also an experience as you need to remember to stay on the right side of the road, which keeps you on your toes. Overall, Nasama was a great base for the trip, comfortable and well-positioned, and I’d definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Vanuatu.

Positive: Beachfront apartment was incredible. Ocean views and listening to the ocean as you go to sleep and wake up. Can swim in the ocean out the front. 2 restaurants on site. Easy to get a local bus into town and back. Staff were amazing.

Positive: Both restaurants on site were very good offering differing cuisines. The location was perfect for us as we could turn left out of the hotel in the mornings and take a leisurely walk down the road towards Panga. The beach was also great with access to the coral reef, depending on the tide. The staff were all very friendly.
Negative: It was disappointing that premiums were charged on certain breakfast options and the plunger coffee was weak and often warm by the time that it arrived at the table. Due to the price of eating out in Vanuatu it would have been nice to prepare a few lunch's in our self-catering appartment, however the room was not well equiped as far as cooking equipment goes, small niggle but not a game changer.

Positive: The food in both resteraunts was amazing, we enjoyed the variety and the quality of the food. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The staff was very kind and helpful, attended to everything we needed and helped us with trips and drivers when we needed to. They also had a snorkel set we can just borrow and games. Overall, it was a good experience.
Negative: pool - would have been nice to have more of an atmosphere, with music, maybe be able to order from the restaurant drinks to the pool. The fact that we had to pay for coffee in the morning was a bit annoying. Wifi only worked in a certain area in the room, and hot water ran out fast.
Summary: A lovely quiet place with great resteraunts and very kind staff.
