Welcome to Candlewood Lake vacationing at its finest!
Experience breathtaking water views from this beautifully updated lakefront property complete with boat dock, jet ski ports and a large, level yard and lakeside patio with western exposure, perfect for entertaining and taking in the stunning Candlewood sunsets. Just 60 miles out of Manhattan, and yet a world away.
This meticulously renovated property was completely updated in 2021 and boasts an open and spacious floor plan with lake views abounding. The lower level features a seating area with sofa and fireplace, a dining area and a fully stocked gourmet kitchen that opens to the lakeside patio complete with gas grill, dining table and soft seating options. On this level you will also find a bedroom with queen bed, closet and dresser as well as a flat screen TV and an adjacent full bath. Completing the lower level is a laundry room with full sized washer and dryer.
Head upstairs where you will find three large bedrooms-- two featuring queen beds, large closets and flat screen TVs, and one containing two twin beds, closet, dresser and flat screen TV. There is an adjacent full bath in the hallway. The open and bright living area has ample soft seating as well as a conversation area with table and chairs, perfect for playing games. All of this is highlighted by spectacular views of the lake from an impressive wall of windows along the entire western facing side.
If you feel like venturing out, the house is located just around the corner from the only restaurant on the lake accessible by boat, and is close to many other restaurants, breweries, grocery and specialty stores, flea markets, antiques shops, golf courses, museums and ski areas. Nature enthusiasts will find miles of hiking and biking trails nearby. Come see for yourself why so many return to Candlewood Lake season after season!

Only hypo-allergenic dogs will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and must be approved PRIOR to booking. For the comfort of all of our guests, pets are NOT allowed on furniture, pillows or beds under any circumstances, pets must be leashed at all times while outdoors, must be crated when left alone in the home, and all waste must be disposed of immediately into the outside trash receptacles. Failure to comply will incur forfeiture of damage deposit in the amount required to deep clean furniture and pillows. A $100 non-refundable pet fee will be due with the final payment. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Please be advised: For the safety and security of our property, our neighbors and our guests, we have installed the Ring video doorbell system to monitor the driveway and the front door. There is absolutely no monitoring of the inside of the home, nor the outside dock or patio areas.
Please note: The owner and family keep a boat at the dock during the summer months and may be on property to take them out on the lake. There is one space on the dock for guests boats.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND travel insurance to protect your investment. We regret that we cannot make exceptions to our cancellation policy due to Covid, weather, or other extenuating circumstances.

Summary: This place is amazing!! The house had everything we needed and more. We really enjoyed our stay and also be able to host some of our family in the area was precious. My daughters rented equipment for the babies which worked out well. The house is very spacious and 5 adults and 3 children fit nicely. Very highly recommend. The pier was fun to hang out on but due to weather we were to enjoy the lake as much. Easy to find, and owners were very responsive.

Summary: We had a wonderful vacation with our grandchildren and family. The children lived in the water if not kayaking or water boards they were fishing!! Rainy days puzzles were our entertainment the summer house provided everything one wanted or needed. It was a very delightful vacation

Summary: A perfect time at a home that was exactly as advertised - new, clean, well-stocked, and very comfortable. The best feedback is that we told the owners that we arrived….they texted back right away to call if we had any issues…..and our next text was to thank them for a perfect week….we never needed to ask them anything, it was that easy! Perfect internet/wifi….all supplies easily accessible…all appliances worked flawlessly

Summary: Our family vacation was the most memorable, easy, enjoyable, stress-free and fun yet! This vacation rental and experience was fabulous. We’ve been renting water front homes yearly for at least 6 years in Candlewood Lake. John and Lisa are extremely welcoming, professional, attentive, responsive, and thoughtful. Every detail has been thought off and all that we needed was on hand. The Welcome basket was such a nice touch, and surprise; it was filled with delicious treats and a wine bottle. The home is completely renovated and has a great floor plan. My husband and I stayed in the bedroom downstairs, with a renovated bathroom, sitting area, kitchen, and access to the patio and lake. Our adult children stayed with their partners and friends upstairs which also had a renovated bathroom, living room and table. The photos on VRBO of the bedrooms don’t reflect all new furniture and beautiful interior design of the home and rooms. Both living rooms had large flat screen new smart TV and breathtaking lake views. The house has a new laundry room on the main floor which was a real plus. The outdoor patio is incredible for dining, reading and entertaining. The outdoor space is the best with kayaks, paddle boards and a dock big enough to sunbathe, swim and dock a pontoon boat. The flat yard was a real plus for us. We’ve been renting homes with steep stairs and yards. We have booked this home for July 2025, already and plan to make it our new family nearby summer spot! LOVE it!

Summary: We had an outstanding family vacation at this home. I am from the area and enjoyed bringing my family from AZ to enjoy the CT beauty. The house was very clean and well stocked. We have stayed at many vacation homes and this one had everything you could need! They provided paper products, water, games, puzzels, outdoor toys, paddle boards, kayaks, etc. My kids had so much fun swimming off the dock and we had the peace of mind that the life vests were provided. The patio was perfect for family gatherings and relaxing afternoons. The house was in a quiet, well-maintained neighborhood. The inside was beautifully updated and very comfortable. The views of the lake were outstanding. The property manager and owner were very resonsive to questions and addressed any concerns. We plan to return again!
