If you have been with us before, welcome back! If this will be your first time checking out Bella Vista, Welcome to our private and peaceful retreat.
Here is a short description of our property if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email us we love to speak to our visitors directly.
Bella Vista is family owned vacation property that sleeps between 12- 16 people & you can not have any more then 18 people (including children) at any given time. Come enjoy it for the weekend or holidays and make memories to last a lifetime!
Forget about a hotel room in crowded noisy Manhattan & bring your friends or family just 90 minutes upstate and make memories for such a low rate (2 night minimum -4 nights at different times if year holiday pricing differs) which includes 5 sleeping spaces - 5th sleeping space opens into a finished basement Children can be accommodated in many different ways (including single beds, daybeds & aero beds.
There is a rainbow play system on our property in our front yard.
We are located on 10 acres of land with a large grass area for the kids to run & play.
Check in at 4pm and check out at 11am (email to pre-approve other time arrangements in advance if available).
PLEASE NOTE: There is NO SMOKING of any kind inside of the home (cleaning fees are doubled if you break this rule) & only small dogs under 20 pounds are permitted for a small fee.
Please care for them in our home as you would in your own.
The pool is swim at your own risk. All renters are 100 % responsible for making sure their guests use the pool safely and at completely at their own risk. Including the surrounding areas of the pool and deck.
there are exterior cameras for the safety of our guests but none inside the home.
10% Cancelation fee on all reservations once reserved.
Within 30 days before check-in get 70% refunded.
Cancel up to 7 days before check in and get a 50% refund.
The estate overlooks the Hudson Valley & Catskill Mountains & is located less than 30 minutes from downhill skiing and hiking in the Catskill Mountains and 15 minutes from the elevated Walkway Over The Hudson with its miles of paved bike trails connecting Poughkeepsie to New Paltz. Other nearby hiking, cross-country skiing and paddling opportunities are the Black Creek Forest Preserve, Shaupeneak Ridge, John Burrough's Slabsides, Mohonk Preserve, Minewaska State Park the Wallkill and Rondout Creeks, Horse back riding and of course, the Hudson River. There is really so much to do & see.

Summary: This is a wonderful house for our group of 9. We have traveled the country over the past 20 years and this is one of the best houses we have stayed in. Roomy and comfortable with a great deck and view. Host was terrific and this house included everything we needed for a wonderful week. So much to do in the area, we all committed to a return trip!

Summary: This house is secluded on top of a hill overlooking the Catskills and Gunk mountains. Can’t beat the views and the size of the property. It easily accommodated the 10 of us, 6 adults and 4 children. Comfy beds throughout. Big kitchen.

Summary: My family stayed at this property for a long weekend and it was wonderful. We absolutely loved sharing meals on the deck with the gorgeous view, having a blast in the pool and winding down every night by the fire. The house was so family friendly as we had 6 kids staying there and there was plenty of space for everyone. We would definitely recommend this location for anyone looking to spend some time away.

Summary: We had a great time at Bella Vista. The house is very comfortable and cool during the heat of summer. For our group of 9 adults and two little kids, there was plenty of space to spread out as well as come together in the communal spaces. We enjoyed the pool and all of the balconies. The sunsets with beautiful mountain and water views were perfect each evening. The house was well-stocked with everything we needed for our stay, and communication with the hosts was very easy. We’d recommend this house and would gladly return!

Summary: This house and property are beautiful. My spouse and I rented this house as a gathering spot to reconnect with friends from around the country. The setting and view is amazing. Summary: This vacation was during a heat wave and the pool was wonderful and very clean. The house was immaculate when we arrived and there was nothing we could want. We had a BBQ the first night, propane provided by our hosts with extra tanks if needed. The kitchen was plenty large for all nine of us - our kids in their 40's and their kids - 9 in total. Every piece of equipment and pots, pans, dishes, utensils were abundantly provided, and we cooked 6 out of 7 nights. So much to do in the area and the house (with temps in the 90's most of the week outside) was nice and cool! We would all return without a doubt to have even more fun in the future!

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay (4 couples + kids). The views are beautiful, house is spacious, kitchen very well stocked and functional. The open layout was GREAT for hanging out with a large group/cooking meals. The basement (with an added bonus of toys/games!) was a good space for the kids to play. Two of the upstairs bedrooms were much bigger with king beds and lots of extra space. Just something to know if you are splitting the house amongst a bigger group. The only downside was that there was a pretty major ladybug infestation while we were there - mostly in the kitchen area above/around the dining table and in 3 of 4 upstairs bedrooms. If it were just a few it would have been NBD, but there were a couple hundred in the 2 days we were there. Many were dead on the floors when we arrived (which we vacuumed..maybe the house hadn't been occupied in awhile?) & many live ones. They were irritating to have all around the dining table, and we found them on the bedspreads. Not sure if we just happened to be there at the perfect time for them to come, with the weather warming up a little, but we were surprised to have that volume inside the house. Anyway, it didn't ruin our stay but it was a nuisance. I did reach out to the owner asking if there was anything we could do (mainly to help them out because there were so many and didn't know if they were aware), and she let me know that we could vacuum them and they were harmless. Overall, the property is nice and we enjoyed our trip.

Summary: Really enjoyed our time in this beautiful home! It's rare to find a place that can sleep so many. We did a getaway for the weekend with several other couples, and we were all able to sleep comfortably. Instructions were clear, and the host was extremely communicative and helpful! We loved having access to a big kitchen and the firepit and grill outside was such a treat. Only thing I'd say so folks in the future are aware, the 2 twin beds in the rooms are actually trundle beds. Just an FYI! 5 stars all around! Would come again!
