Positive: The property is in the heart of the city centre. Bus stop, Train station and market is within 2 to 7 min distance.
Negative: The property is not a studio apartment. It is a hotel unit. If one is looking for reasonable price hotel unit then its a perfect however when the description of property is studio then its not at all a studio. It doesnt have kitchen, kitchen utensils etc. fridge is too small, it just has microwave. Most important the property is above the bars and restaurant. especially friday/saturday night, there is very high level of noise even at 3 and 4 am because of the drunkards shouting on the road. it totally disturbs the sleep. Not recommended for weekend stays at all. The property should not be termed as studio but just a normal hotel unit. The term studio is completely misleading

Positive: The host/owner was great. He met me upon arrival and helped me bring my suitcase up the stairs (and did the same when I left). The room size was perfect for one person (or a couple). I was staying there for a week and the price was reasonable so I didn't have to break the bank. There's a microwave and a mini fridge as well. For a fairly small place it had everything you needed. The owner was also very responsive each time I needed something.
Negative: The main down side was the noise from outside as the room is situated in a small alley right in the centre of Kingston, and there are bars, cafes, restaurants around. I wouldn't say people talking outside was a huge disturbance for me as I was quiet tired each night and use a whitenoise app to help me sleep whenever I go. But for those who want a really quiet place then this isn't the right place for you. The amusing aspect though was that from the window of the room I could hear passers-by talking in many different languages. It was tourist season, so it was like the world was at your doorstep (or rather, window). Other than that, the place was great. Could use a little more cleaning (especially of the bathroom like the showered) though.

Positive: This small apartment is located in a very desirable area near the train, supermarkets, restaurants, fruit market and in general a very nice neighborhood. The bed is ok and the mattress is comfortable. The a/c works and is a plus during the heat of the summer.
Negative: On the other hand the entrance to the building and stairs are filthy and in need of TLC. The apartment itself needs cleaning, the microwave was dirty with leftover food of previous use. We did not have Wi-Fi and after complaining for a few days we were given the Internet of a friend that owns the cafe on the first floor however after 6:00 pm when the cafe closed for the day there was no signal. The apartment is on the second floor with no elevator. There were also problems with the curtain rod which was missing a bracket but the owner ignored our concern and the curtain remained hanging without providing shade on that side of the window.
