Positive: This is the heart of Yala, a place that touches your soul. Accommodation: The house is a gem—beautiful, serene, and right by the beach. We had it all to ourselves, and it felt like a step back to our childhood, with clean, cozy rooms and a sense of peace we hadn’t felt in years. Hospitality: Mr. Hansa and his wife, Sa, made us feel like family. His wisdom and kindness left a lasting impression. Don’t miss out on his stories and knowledge—he’s a true treasure. Food: The meals were unforgettable. The owner’s cooking is simply divine—each bite felt like a love letter to the senses. We’re deeply moved by our time in Sri Lanka, and Nil Sisila will always have a special place in our hearts. P.S. An elephant visited our house! We were in awe, along with the bulls, peacocks, and countless birds. It’s like staying in a little National Park.
Negative: NONE!

Positive: I loved my breakfast and diner which they made specially for me. It was way too much for me! The surroundings were beautiful, the sea is close and the garden is a joy with peacocks that come in the late afternoon and even elephants in the middle of the night (I just heard them). A lovely place to go and chill and relax
Negative: Its far away from things, which didn't bother me at all, but just be aware of it.
Summary: best!

Positive: If you are looking for a place full of peace and quiet, this little paradise is just the thing. Hansa and his wife are lovely and helpful hosts who take very good care of you, making you feel at home. The food was really delicious and the beach was relaxing and so empty that you had it to yourself. The rooms are simple but have everything you need. We also booked a safari through him which went very well. We would have loved to stay longer as it was the best two days of our trip. Alessia

Positive: The owner is quite friendly and the location is thrilling, the room is right next to ocean.
Negative: The food was really delicious, but a bit overpriced compare to others. You can catch the wifi through the owners mobile, but during the evening and at night, you cant have internet. The bathroom is half-opened, many frogs and insects can come into the room if you forget to close the door of the bathroom. It wasnt a problem for me, but it can disturbs others.
Summary: In the middle of the wildlife

Positive: Amazing location. So peaceful after being in the more busy parts of the south coast! A bit isolated (but thats what makes it so beautiful) so if you dont have your own transport make sure to take what you need so you dont have to go 15km back to the town centre. Ask the owner about watching the sunset on the sand dunes. Hotel also organised our morning safari tour which was seamless & provided all meals at cost which were delicious and reasonably priced
Negative: Nothing
Summary: Beautiful spot to relax

Positive: Unbeatable location, right next to a beautiful secluded beach and only 15 minute drive from Yala national park. The hosts are fantastic and have created a very special place, we felt like guests rather than clients. The home cooked dinner was amazing (likely the best culinary experience we’ve had during hotel stays), and it’s very nice to be able to chat with other guests lodging at the resort. Hosts can also help arrange safaris (but you can book directly, if preferred). I loved it so much that we came back twice :) can only recommend!
Negative: be mindful you are in the wild so some coach-roaches can be expected and it’s out of hosts control ;)
