This architect-designed Skaneateles Lake home is nestled within the trees for ultimate privacy. This fabulous getaway is situated on a private and peaceful point where you'll love sitting out on the huge lakefront shale dock to enjoy the endless and amazing 180-degree views of Skaneateles Lake.
Whether it is taking in the breathtaking sunrises over Stag Horn Point, swimming and fishing in the crystal clear lake, or winding down at night around the fire pit, it is the perfect set-up for maximum lake enjoyment. It also includes an area to dock your boat, a shale beach for easy access for the little ones, and a floating swim dock just offshore.
The cottage itself has a huge deck for entertaining while looking out over the lake, an open first-level floor plan, and 3 more levels of bedrooms (3 bedrooms plus 4th bedroom open loft), and 2 full baths. This wonderful getaway sleeps 8-10 comfortably with true 'owner-driven' hospitality.
Conveniently located down a private 15 mph road on the west side of Skaneateles Lake, it is just a modest drive south of the Town of Skaneateles. Its location also affords you the opportunity to explore the beauty of the Finger Lakes and all of its rich amenities within a short car ride away. From hiking the beautiful trails and waterfalls, exploring the wine trail and breweries, shopping, or enjoying a never-ending assortment of restaurants.

Summary: We had a wonderful time on Skaneateles Lake! Beach area was great for younger children and lots of space on the dock for others. House was spotless and we loved the early morning sunlight. Views from the deck and MBR were magnificent! Thanks for a great vacation!

Summary: We enjoyed the home and the lake. There were lots of clean linens and stocked kitchen. The WiFi was great. The beds were comfy. The view was lovely.

Summary: This is a wonderful house on a beautiful lake, as long as you can handle steep slopes. The driveway is steeper than we expected, and the many steps to the house and lake dock are steep. If it's rainy the steps can be slippery, so you have to be careful. The deck overlooking the lake does not have child-proof railing, so I would not be comfortable with toddlers at this property. Besides those cautions, the house is fun, casual, comfortable, and the lake is fantastic. We especially enjoyed the views of the lake from the deck and master bedroom. The house is near great hiking trails, and the owner provides a helpful list of other nearby attractions. It is very quiet, no noise from cars or anything, so if you cherish the sounds of nature, this is a great place. The host is very responsive.

Summary: Lovely home on the south end of the lake. Private dock for your boat and plenty of space for some kayaks. We enjoyed daily kayaking trips to the Staghorn Cliffs as well as both west and east side shore trips. The home accommodates plenty of guest for family time and quiet time. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, bed linens, towels or shower and swimming. Great place to rest and restore.
