Experience water views on both sides of the house, with unbeatable sunsets across the sound. Chill Out Cottage is snuggled into a shallow water bay right off Stump Sound. Drop a fishing line off your dock morning or evening, and spend the midday in the waves and sand right across the road. Bring your kayak and paddleboards so you can drift in the water watching wildlife at the Permuda Island Reserve right off your back yard dock. Don't have your own? No problem; kayak rentals are right next door!
Ground Level: Free private parking for 4 vehicles, boat trailers are allowed. Private dock with access to Topsail Inlet Waterway. Private outdoor hot shower. Gas grill. Extra storage with washer and dryer. Stairs to Entrance.

Off Season Check-Ins begin at 3:00 pm and are guaranteed by 5:00 pm

Summary: We booked this place at the last minute for a 4th of July family getaway. The location is across the street from the beach -- short walk to beach access in either direction, and the dock behind the house is a great bonus -- plus there were crab pots under the house so the kids had fun crabbing from the dock. The house is small and on the older side and a few touch-ups would be nice (for instance, the comforters on the bed were clean but a little dingy). But overall, the place was clean and comfortable and everything we needed for a quick family trip to the beach.

Summary: I was very pleased with the cleanliness of this home! It was just my husband, our son and myself that went for the week. We enjoyed the dock to the inlet water and a short walk to the beach. The worse part, which wasn’t terrible, there’s no driveway. We didn’t know where to park. Which was hard since we had a truck and a boat. Thankfully the neighbors, who owed their place, helped us dodge the septic system. We enjoy this little cottage. The bed we slept in was amazing!!

Summary: The location and property was great, super cute and very well attended to. Only issue was the ants. They were EVERYWHERE including the couch and closets. We took the trash out and kept it clean but they were still everywhere. That’s the only complaint but it was a pretty big issue.

Summary: My wife and I rented this little cottage for a last minute getaway. It is a very nice cottage and is perfect for two people, and we really enjoyed Topsail and Surf City. The cottage has a nice front porch, and the back deck looks out to the Sound. It is a very easy walk to the beach and nearby beach access--about a 10th of a mile. The cottage is very comfortable and has all you need, including two beach umbrellas and beach chairs in the downstairs storage section. The washer and dryer was nice to have and the outdoor shower felt great after spending time on the beach. The only thing missing is a dishwasher, but that really wasn't a big deal as we ate our lunch at the beach and had dinner out.
