Positive: Absolutely beautiful location and amazingly hospitality from the host. The host cooks up a homemade Japanese style breakfast each morning with local in season fish and vegetables, so tasty! Notojima is a sleepy little fishing island with a few tourist attractions. One being the Notojima Aquarium, which is only a 23min walk from the guesthouse or the Glass museum which is only and 8 min walk away. Also the Cafe next door is very tasty, many dishes show casing the Noto beef or the region.

Negative: It kind of hard to get around the island if you don't have a car or like walking. It's doable, there is a bus system but nowhere on the island is within Taxi service.

Summary: Definitely want to come back, a getaway from big city worries

Positive: The location was absolutely stunning: our window was just few meters from the sea and raising from the futon in such a lovely room, literally full of sun was wonderful. The host was very kind and prepared for us a tasty traditional japanese breakfast. I loved to speak with her, just before leaving, about the earthquake and its consequences in the life of the island.
