Welcome to The Sandlake View, located in front of the gorgeous Sand Creek which opens up into the Pacific! This two story home offers guests three bedrooms, two baths, with room for up to five! Park the car, grab your bags, and head inside!
Upon entering The Sandlake View, you'll find yourself in the hallway that leads to several rooms. The first bedroom can be found on the right with a queen bed. To the left, you'll find the first bathroom, complete with a shower/tub combo.
A small den area sits in the center of the home, complete with a comfy couch to relax on while watching some TV. The desk contains both games and books for you and your family to enjoy while on vacation. You'll see a large back deck out the sliding glass door containing a propane BBQ that you'll love to grill on during the warm summer months! You could also just sit out here and relax with a hot cup of coffee in the early morning hours. The backyard is also fenced, so your littles can run free while soaking in the Oregon sunshine!
The kitchen and dining room area is just on the other side, with two entrances. You'll have access to everything you need to make some quick and easy meals, including a refrigerator, oven/stovetop, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, and plenty of eating utensils and dish ware! Make a fresh, home cooked meal with your loved ones, and enjoy it on the back deck while breathing in the fresh air coming off of the lake and ocean!
Head upstairs, and you'll find the second living area, complete with two large couches siting in front a large flat screen TV. This area is perfect for everyone in your party to gather together and enjoy a movie and popcorn after a day of exploring the coastline. Head out onto the back deck through the glass doors, and take in the sights and sounds from the second story while watching the sun set over the Pacific.
The queen bed sits behind this living room area in an open concept. The second bathroom is just around the corner, containing a walk-in shower. The twin bed is through a doorway off of the queen bed area.
While staying at The Sandlake View, you'll have plenty to see and do in the area! Explore the lake with a kayak or canoe, or simply take a walk along its shoreline. Beach access is about a mile or two away (depending on if you go north or south from the home) or you can find easy beach access in Pacific City next to the Pelican Brewery. Take a hike out onto the beach, and see if you can climb the massive sand dune! You'll be blown away by the amazing view from the top! Get a bite to eat afterwards, or go home and relax. You'll have amazing views from The Sandlake View as well just by relaxing on the back deck! Summary: We enjoyed our stay and would probably rent again. The only drawback is the VRBO fees, which are out of control. But the base rental fee was reasonable for this place. Most importantly, the place was clean.

Reviewer Comments: The glass door going to the deck needs the inside door handle fixed, as I went to open it the door handle came off in my hand.the close dryer in the first floor bedroom needs a dryer hose hooked to it to vent outside, it vents into the bedroom, I opened the windows in the room to let the hot dryer steam out.other then that it was a nice week stay at this vacation rental, the beds are firm, I prefer a comfy soft bed.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Incredible view! There was no note in the house with info (i.e.trash pickup day, closest market, restaurant recommendations). Two big decks, one only had a table, the other only had 2 chairs. The house sits directly on a main road, so there was pretty loud street noise. Only 1 BR had a door, the twin bed was in a closet with no window/door, and so squeaky we had to put the mattress on the floor. Unreliable Wifi/cable. We found clothes from previous guests under a bed, and cigarette butts in washing machine. Our family of 4 (kids 11 and 15) made it work, and enjoyed the view.

Summary: The place is in a great location. There is no cell service which is fine with me. There however are no blinds on the rear windows. So with neighbors that can look in is a bit awkward. It says they have cable, which my kids care about, but they don't. The French doors to the upstairs bathroom had broken hinges so you can't close them....and there is no blinds. They had ne check in late because they had cleaning staff issues. And we found beer cans and cigarette butts outside. Then the guy came to mow the lawn unannounced.....again no blinds. The counter next to the stove is completely loose. The table is way to big for the kitchen and needs a leg adjustment badly. When you're paying 290$ a night out the door.....which is what it costs with all the fees, you'd expect some basic necessities. They advertise it at 150$-170$. I emailed OBV the caretakers of the property and they've yet to respond. Oh well lesson learned. It is a good location though.

If they could just fix the squeezing noise from the twin bed upstairs world be great. My daughter slept in and have to pull the bottom bed out. Close to the beach and restaurants but yet it’s in a beautiful setting.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house itself was good and we had a good stay. The maintenance worker who came out to assist us was great. One MAJOR inconvenience was the non-functioning wifi. The house is in such a location that there is no cell phone service and so with no wifi we were essentially cut off. Several of my family had important calls to make and meetings and we had to drive to other locations to do these. It was a problem that was not fixed the entire week of our stay. In one of the rooms there was some blood on the ceiling and wall. We had fun as a family, but it was in spite of the housing and not really aided by it, as it has been with other stays I've had in the past. The only resolution I was offered by Oregon Beach Vacations was 2 nights of off season stay which is not really helpful since I'm 13 hrs away.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived to a yard full of garbage which had been spread from an over flowing garbage can by critters. Numerous things were not working or broken in the unit but they did send a repair man who was able to repair one thing. The next day we were moved to another unit 30 miles away which was passable. Okay customer service, would have been great customer service if they had moved us to a unit closer to our original location, my guess is the closer units were more expensive.
