Welcome to La Isla Bonita! You will not find a more friendly and calming destination as San Pedro Belize and Villa La Jolla is the perfect hub for your island vacation!

Accordingly, Villa La Jolla is a Gold Standard Accommodation, meeting the highest standards of health, safety and sanitization services and is on the approved list of hotels as "Los Encantos Villas" (the name of our private 4 villa compound).
Villa La Jolla is two-level mahogany and sandstone villa is located directly on the Caribbean Sea. The custom home has two ground level master suites with private bathrooms, including hand painted double sinks and both bedrooms open out to a covered porch overlooking the beach, palm trees and the Caribbean Sea. There is a 3rd large bedroom upstairs with a full bath just steps away. The large living & dining areas make up most of the 2nd floor, along with a full kitchen. There is a large upper deck with a comfy hammock and seating that overlooks the front yard of your dreams with blue skies, emerald seas, warm winds and coconut trees!
The four villas of Los Encantos spaciously encircle a lovely saltwater pool, with Villa La Jolla (unit #1) on the oceanfront. There are plenty of lounge chairs around the pool, on the beach and around to beautiful landscaped grounds. Choose either sun filled or shaded by a palm frond umbrella or coconut trees (or move to your own quiet corner of paradise).
You are close enough to San Pedro town, but still feels very private. San Pedro can be accessed on the dock via regular water ferry, private water taxi, or by road via golf cart or bike. And, there are great restaurants and bars that are a short distance up or down the beach from Villa La Jolla.
Ambergris Caye, Belize's largest island, is known for its water sports, scuba diving and Caribbean beaches. Within sight of your villa, the Belize Barrier Reef (the world’s 2nd largest) features famed snorkeling and dive sites such as the Hol Chan Marine Reserve, with an abundance of sea life, and the 124m-deep Great Blue Hole.
While Villa La Jolla is on the Caribbean Sea side of the island, it's conveniently located adjacent to the island cross-road that goes to the infamous Secret Beach on the lagoon side of the island. Just a short drive across you'll find several establishments offering lounge chairs, shaded tables in the water, shaded docks, inner-tubes, over water massage, grilled food, cold beer, exotic concoctions & shallow turquoise waters! You can walk about 1/4 mile out from the beach in waist deep turquoise water! It’s a must see.
Villa La Jolla is a very comfortable, welcoming private home, the perfect “home base” for your amazing Ambergris Caye and Belize adventures. It may not be your choice if you seek 'gourmet kitchens' or 1000 thread count bedsheets. However, if you want somewhere you'll feel very welcomed, comfortable and able to live, relax and enjoy everything the island has to offer, then we're your choice. If there is anything you need or would like, our onsite caretaker and our San Pedro management company, Reef Management, will assist immediately. Reef and their terrific staff are a phone call away to arrange tours, golf carts rentals, bike rentals, water taxis, restaurant bookings - anything you wish.
**Exterior Security Camera In Use On Property: Exterior security cameras are in place to monitor ground level exterior door and windows. They are not located within or positioned to view any interior locations or those requiring reasonable expectation of privacy.

Summary: Loved this property. Visited this place with a group of 6 of us total. Host was great and helpful getting us golf carts, setting us up with excursions, and getting us to and from the property. It is a little far from downtown San Pedro but it is a beautiful property and I would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Our 7-day stay at Los Encantos exceeded our expectations. The property was as described and Harly, on-site maintenance works diligently to keep the property pristine. Janice, our on-site contact provided us with so many great suggestions for both activities and places to dine. Nevia, our housekeeper cooked us the most amazing meal complete with key lime pie. Renaldo picked us up upon arrival and dropped us off at departure - a sweet man. I highly recommend a snorkelling excursion with Clinton and his team at Ali Mermaid Adventures.morning beach walks were a great start to the day and watching the sun set from our balcony was breathtaking. This place is magical!

Summary: The property was absolutely wonderful, and Haly & Neira were terrific! (Probably misspelled their names. Sorry.) were terrific. Very friendly and extremely fast to respond to any questions or issues. Unfortunately, the roads in and out are horrendous. Potholes the size of craters, and a terribly bumpy ride to basically anywhere. Because of the conditions of the road travel to San Pedro and back takes forever. Other than the road, we highly recommend Los Encantos.

Summary: This was an excellent house on the beach! Harley and Nevia were the best! We had Nevia fix us dinner one night when we returned from our excursion and it was the best meal we had all week. We had great communication with Harley the caretaker.

Summary: We had a wonderful time at Los Cantos. The house was beautiful, exceptionally clean, and the caretakers Harley and his wife were fabulous. If you have the opportunity for Harley’s wife to make you supper please do it. One of the best meals we had while on the island. This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking to skip the hustle and bustle of San Pedro, yet it’s an east cart ride if you want to go to town. Would happily stay here again.

Summary: We enjoyed staying at this roomy and clean hacienda. Beds were comfy and there was plenty of space to stretch out. We would have preferred having access to the washer/dryer. We also had some leaking in one bathroom and the air conditioning wasn’t working in one bedroom. Wish we could have swam in the sea- we didn’t realize that seaweed would be such an issue in Belize.

Summary: We came with my husband,our daughter, her husband and his mother. The property gave us plenty of space for privacy and togetherness. The view was exceptional. The only downside was the roads which the home owner has no control. The wonderful Belizean people,including Harley & Nevia and their girls and people we met along the way said the government is promising improvements.

Summary: We just returned from a week stay at Villa La Jolla and had an amazing time. From the time we booked, the communication was excellent with regards to the property, arrival, shuttle to and from, excursions, etc. We were greeted by Harly who introduced us to the property and got us settled. He made for a great stay, checked up on us daily, and provided great insight into things to do, directions, etc. Nevia, Harly's wife, handled some laundry for us and even cooked us a fabulous dinner one evening. The property is beautiful and exceptionally maintained. More than enough room for our family of four to stretch out, swim, head out to the dock, or even search for wildlife (hermit crabs, lizards, iguanas, fish, etc.). Very comfortable, well-furnished, and has amazing views. We were introduced to Clinton who provides various excursions. We decided to go snorkeling, sightseeing, stopped at Cay Caulker, fed the Tarpon, and a few other fun things. I highly recommend an outing with Clinton. Ambergris Cay is amazing in itself, especially the people. Each morning we purchased breakfast burritos from a vendor that came by the house, we tried a variety of bars and restaurants, and tried to frequent the local roadside stands. So much to write as we did something different every day! Tranquility Bay, Secret Beach, Truck Stop, San Pedro, the list goes on and on… If you want a fantastic experience, I highly suggest a stay at Villa La Jolla on the beautiful Ambergris Cay!
