Summary: We enjoyed staying right along the ocean watching the wildlife in and out of the water. It is a very nice view. The beach access down the road was perfect for taking our dog for a swim. Chris was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The neighbours have a nice dog and were respectful of our space.

Summary: The location was central to everywhere we were looking to explore. The suite has everything needed and more. Herons and eagles in the trees in the morning. If you stay, check Tomm’s Market for the baked goods. I had the best warm apple fritters in the morning. Two minute drive. I would highly recommend staying here.

Summary: We’ve just returned from this property and did not want to leave. It’s location is stunning, right on the bay, with views across to Hornby Island. It is well equipped, with a nice comfy bed, and a big lounge to relax in. We didn’t spend that much time in the lounge, because you just have to sit outside and take in the view, watching the world and the wildlife pass by. The resident bald eagles, or the herons patrolling the water’s edge, or rabbits in the garden, or deer, or seals, the list goes on. The location is a little out of the way, so you’ll need a car to explore. If you’re not planning to cook, then there’s places around to eat, although they will involve a 10-25 minute drive. Qualicum Beach is a lovely place to wander or grab a coffee, and you’re well positioned to drive to trails and lakes in the area. All in all, a really lovely place to stay.

Summary: The view of the ocean and near by islands from our place was beautiful. The sunsets and rises fantastic. We had resident eagles, herons, and humminbirds visit almost every day. The place it's self was clean, comfortable and enjoyable to be in. The only 2 things take would make it even More enjoyable would be having a dishwasher, rather than having to do them yourselves, and laundry facilities, like stackable washer/dryer. Thank you Dianne and Christian for sharing your lovely property and home with us. Clark, Lori and Pippin of Calgary

Summary: We just spent an amazing week here and it was absolutely perfect! We were able to take day trips to Campbell River, Tofino, Port Alberni and Qualicum from our home base. We enjoyed our morning coffee on our private porch, went for hikes (Cathedral Grove, Campbell River Canyon View Trail, Elk's Fall's Suspension Bridge, Englishman River, Little Qualicum Falls...) and visited 40 Knots Winery and Fern & Cedar Brewery. The suite had everything we needed and a gorgeous view too. There's nothing like a day full of adventure and then relaxing in the backyard with a cold drink looking out over the water. (Eagles, heron, a seal, whales spouting in the distance!) We highly recommend booking here. The view!!! Honestly, we loved every day we got to spend here with the deer and the hummingbirds!
