Wailua Bay View Unit 306 is a premium ocean front condo with stunning views from the lanai. WBV 306 has been renovated with luxurious amenities.
This unit is limited to a maximum of 2 adults. No children or pets are allowed.
This is a top floor unit with incredible views of the ocean and Wailua Beach. The lanai has a large bar-height rail table with 3 bar chairs perfect for eating meals. There is also a padded outdoor chaise lounge; a great place to relax with a book.
The living room has been updated with recessed lighting and contemporary furniture. The entertainment center includes a 55 inch Samsung QLED 4K Ultra HDTV and DVD player.
A 14,000 BTU Toshiba portable air conditioner is provided to cool the living room. It has a Heat function to warm the condo if there is a cold spell. The living room also has a ceiling fan and rotating stand fan.
C-40 rated hurricane strength vinyl sliding doors and windows provide an amazing protected view of the ocean even in the harshest storms.
Free WiFi is provided in the condo.
The 43 inch Samsung HDTV in the bedroom also has a Digital Cable DVR. The TVs are connected to the WiFi service so guests can access Netflix, ESPN+ and other subscription services.
The Digital Cable TV subscription package includes the upgraded sports tier so you can watch the Pac 10, Big 10, SEC networks plus NHL Network, NFL Network and NFL Red Zone. DVRs allow you to record shows or sports events and watch them in the evening when you return to the condo.
The kitchen has high end stainless steel appliances. It has a full size LG French Door refrigerator with water and ice through the door and second ice maker in the freezer. The Bosch dishwasher is so quiet you won't know its running. The microwave and smooth-top range are comparable to what you have at home.
The kitchen includes a coffee bean grinder, deluxe coffee maker, blender, rice maker, mixer, chopper, can opener and other kitchen items. It includes a full spice rack, flour, sugars, oils and vinegars and a cookbook so you can easily make meals. Many other sundries are included as well such as plastic zip lock bags and aluminum foil.
The condo includes a GE compact washer and dryer in the unit.
A 12,000 BTU GE wall air conditioner is provided to cool the bedroom. With new vinyl windows in the bedroom, the wall air conditioner cools the bedroom completely. . When the AC is turned on, the fan can be set to runs continuously rather than cycling on and off so light sleepers aren't disturbed.
C-40 rated hurricane strength extra thick double paned vinyl sliding replacement windows were recently installed in the bedroom. With the windows closed and air conditioner on, the bedroom provides a cool, quiet rest. The new Beacon Hill Firm Pillow Top King mattress and black out drapes ensure you have a restful sleep.
For your beach trips the unit includes two backpacks, two beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach mats, noodles, coolers and other beach gear.
Wailua Bay View is an oceanfront 45 unit boutique condominium resort on the East shore of Kauai. The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook selected it as one of their “Solid Gold Values”. Every Wailua Bay View condo has a private oceanfront lanai with a spectacular view of the ocean.
The ceramic tiled pool and surrounding flagstone patio is a great place to hang out and soak up the sun. The gas grills in the pool area are great for grilling fresh fish, steaks or whatever looks good at the store. Wailua Beach is a short walk from the complex. Wailua Bay View is on the 12 mile long Kauai Path bike trail. Bikes can be rented in Kapa'a.
Restaurants, bakeries, shops, beach bars and a nightclub with live music are within walking distance of Wailua Bay View. Grocery stores, a pharmacy and a health food store are one mile north. Wailua Golf Course is 2.5 miles south of Wailua Bay View. It was voted one of the top 15 golf courses in Hawaii by Golf Digest.
The East Shore is a great place to stay. Most Kauai residents live in Kapa'a. With more local residents in the Kapa’a area, the East Shore has a great local feel. The East Shore has become a hot spot with new restaurants and nightlife. Several bars and restaurants have live music most evenings.

Summary: The view! It was all about the top floor view. But keep in mind, you have 3 sets of steps to climb to get to the view and to bring up all the groceries and take down the trash. The unit had all the necessities one would need. It was great because we weren't spending all of our time and money at a store buying paper towels and zip lock baggies. We truly appreciated this. The swimming pool, while small, was absolutely wonderful. The landscaping around it was so beautiful. We were there on the 4th of July holiday, so there were lots of locals camping and fishing, so we didn't think the ocean was accessible for swimming. My husband even helped one local fisherman free a turtle that was caught in his line and didn't know what to do. We also hoped we could see the sunrise since being on the east shore, but we had to walk down the beach to get a glimpse. We did see a good one at Lydgate Beach Park down the road, which we loved. We went to watch surfers up in Kealia Beach and used the location to make it to west coast for the Waimea Canyon. One of the best meals all vacation came from Napali Brewing, which we walked to. The unit was nicely updated and well-equipped.

Summary: The 3rd floor condo was super clean and had a beautiful view from the balcony. The balcony has a comfy 3 seat bar and lounger, which was great for drinks after a long day of having fun on Kauai. The kitchen had all the utensils and amenities of home. We were able to cook anything we wanted several times during our stay. The balcony also has a storage box with beach chairs, snorkel gear, noodles for floating, and boogie boards for use if you desire. The condo has two A/C units that work wonderfully and keep the unit cool when you are inside. The complex has a beautiful pool that we used a few times, and it is so quiet. The are many parking spots also, so no worries anout parking. The condo complex is so quiet and so enjoyable. We walked to the Coconut Marketplace almost daily for the restaurants, the ABC store, and the Lava Lava Club. Johnny V’s Wingz n Tings is there also and has pretty good food. The steak rocked at Johnny V’s. Checking in was amazingly easy because we didnt have to. The owners gave us our door code the day before we arrived. We just filled out the guest card upon arrival, then the complex manager dropped off our parking pass. It was so simple. This condo is beautiful, the location is perfect, and the overall experience was amazing. I will stay here again when we return to Kauai.

Summary: This condo is by far the most well appointed VRBO we've stayed in. The condo had everything. Spices for cooking, some condiments in the fridge, fresh coffee, plenty of towels, extra toiletries, snorkel gear, beach chairs, pool noodles, binoculars...everything was thought of. The communication with the owner was also great and they were very responsive. Staff we saw was incredible. Parking was easy. We loved spending time on the balcony watching the sea turtles swim in the surf. It was also very well situated between the north and south side. The pool area was nice and the walk to other restaurants was fantastic. We walked to Lava Lava Beach Bar multiple times. Now the not so great. The traffic noise is loud. The beach the condo is on is not very good for swimming and was dirty. The beach access you also have to walk a small amount down the street next to an abandon restaurant to get to. Which did not feel like paradise. We also watched a homeless couple living on the beach every day. From their evening fires to their tent they made with driftwood. Now that isn't really a reflection of the condo as that is amazing but I wouldn't stay here again because of that unfortunately. I know the beaches in Hawaii are all public but that was not something I expected.

Summary: I cannot say enough positive things about our stay in this Kauai condo. The location is ideal for day trips both north and south, and it is so close to shopping and dining options. The view is incredible and the chickens were quite entertaining! The condo itself was so well stocked, clean and extremely comfortable. The owners go above and beyond sharing useful information. Summary: It is clear that the owners (Steve and Tina) come and stay at this condo. It has everything that you will need for cooking, or for beach/hiking/exploring. Spent a lot of time outside on the porch in the morning or at the end of a long day exploring this beautiful island and were thoroughly entertained by the view of the ocean and beach activity. Also saw many turtles swimming in the reef. We stayed at three different VRBO's on three islands this trip and Wailua Bay 316 was our favorite!We used the App GuideAlong (formerly Gypsy) which we believe is much better than Shaka Guide and much less expensive. We highly recommend using it if you plan on exploring the island. You get great directions through GPS to places to see and explore while learning the history of the island as well.Communication with the Steve and Tina was terrific from booking through our stay. We requested a late checkout and they were very gracious to provide the time we needed.Just be aware that this is a three floor walk-up. For our way too large suitcases, it was a bit of a trek, but well worth it. We will absolutely be coming back the next time in Kauai.

Summary: Loved our stay at this beautiful condo with incredible ocean views. I have stayed at many condos but none as well appointed as this one. Beautiful with modern comfortable furnishings. Spotless throughout, Well appointed kitchen with everything you could possible need - spices, oils, condiments, flour and sugar, plastic bags and foil, paper goods. Everything you could possibly need for the beach - chairs, snorkel gear, umbrellas, boogie boards, coolers, beach towels. Truly a well thought out and supplied vacation rental. There were guide books, umbrellas, trekking poles, extra day backpacks, binoculars. I could seriously just go on and on, wow! Also very good communication throughout the process. We can’t wait to come back for another lovely stay.

Summary: This would have been an awesome two week vacation. The condo is modern and nicely furnished. The kitchen is perfect and very well stocked. The view from the lanai is amazing! There were however 3 issues. First, the dryer was out of order and was scheduled to be replaced before we arrived but a supplier back order prevented that from happening. The host’s manager Marvis (who was great by the way) offered to dry our clothes for us which was very nice of her to do so. The second issue was the traffic noise from the bedroom window. It was annoying but not the end of the world. The big problem was the overpowering smell of raw sewage that permeated the air due to a failed sewage lift station across the street. Albeit out of the owners control this couldn’t be tolerated and we had no choice but to relocate. The good news is the owners were very understanding of the problems we experienced (we never mentioned the traffic noise to them as it was a minor issue) and immediately offered us a full refund. After our second night we moved to our new accommodation. Had it not been for the sewage smell we would have stayed as this really is an awesome location. Thank you Steve and Tina for being so understanding of the situation and refunding us our money without delay.

Summary: The view was completely outstanding and the condo had a ton of amenities. Thank you for this! Unfortunately, the toilet was not clean when we arrived late at night (so we cleaned it) and the drier was not working, which was not convenient. These issues were responded to as soon as possible however and we were either financially compensated or an alternative offered for the broken drier. This was appreciated. Summary: This was our first visit to Kauai and after spending a week on the island visiting both the north and the south as well, we are convinced we chose the perfect stay location. First, the place was exactly as described and the view is even better in person! Super comfortable to hang out in, sit on the balcony, and the bed was very comfortable. But the location was so great - you are right next to a bakery and multiple restaurants and a brewery. If that isn't enough, just down the road is Coconut Marketplace with even more! We went almost every day to food or shopping. The beach we discovered just to the north was protected and not too busy. The access to Lydgate park to the south via a sidewalk was a wonderful 5k! We loved going on an adventure during the day and coming back to the condo to eat locally and have a few cocktails without driving in the evening and chill.During our stay the dryer wasn't functioning properly, but Marvis who was on site caught us to check in and she did a dryer load for us while we were out and about. She was very helpful and made everything easy. When first arriving and once or twice during the stay there was a strong sewer smell in the driveway to the condo. Once we got inside and throughout the trip we sometimes noticed it but it was forgotten once inside and you couldn't smell it.Some comments mentioned the street noise so it was on my radar. To be honest, it was the same volume as the ocean waves and didn't bother us at all!

Summary: We enjoyed ocean & beach views and the melodic sound of waves in this fully stocked condo which provided everything you need for a beach vacation. The kitchen had everything and more you would need for cooking. The manager is very attentive and provides great local information or anything you need to make your stay comfortable. In our case we needed a tub bath mat to be sure my husband wouldn’t slip taking a shower. I’ve recommended this property and the other one the owner has here to 2 people, and am pretty certain my sister-in-law has booked for their July, 2025 trip to Kauai.
