Our neighborhood is a wonderful blend of casual Southern California beach living with a vibrant art/music influence.
Great restaurants, breweries, wine bars and local hot spots attract the young and the young-at-heart!
We have farmers markets, museums, biking, hiking, water sports and more! Steve and I love to travel but we still find that our little "jewel" known as Oceanside is the place we love coming home to! We think you will, too!

Our train station is just 1.5 miles from our home, and gives you the ability to travel up or down the coast to enjoy everything from Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo to San Diego's Gaslamp District, Petco Park and Downtown San Diego.
Going north you can take it right into the village of San Juan Capistrano for a day trip to the Mission, shopping and restaurants. Traveling farther north, you can train to Disneyland, LA and up the coast to Santa Barbara.
You will see from the pictures that our home has a spacious kitchen, living room, dining room, family room and one bedroom downstairs.
Upstairs includes a very large master suite and two additional bedrooms, office area and another full bath.
Our backyard is perfect for entertaining or simply relaxing.

Summary: Location is awesome! A few minutes away by car to Oceanside beach and pier. My teenage kids rented body boards to enjoy the waves. The house is in a more secluded area and the backyard has a lot of privacy . Walmart, CVS, Dunkin Donuts, are all within 5 minutes drive. The house itself is very spacious , with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Also Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Monica are all easy distance for day trips. Marijane was super easy to get ahold of and very responsive.

Summary: Just a thank you to Marijane and Steve, for accommodating my family and I, for this visit (even considering a last minute adjustment we had to make). A wonderful home, located close to everything.......beach , freeways, stores, restaurants, Camp Pendleton, and San Diego. The interesting thing is you are close to all of these amenities, however, when you are at the house, up in the hills, you are detatched (quiet and peaceful). Nice backyard with grill and firepit....wonderful view. Lots of space inside and out. Thanks again!

Summary: This was the perfect home for our stay in Oceanside. We were in town for a soccer tournament and shared the home with another family. The house has a beautiful outdoor patio in a quiet neighborhood. The location was ideal as we were only fifteen minutes from the fields and only a mile from the beach with easy access to the highway to get to anywhere we wanted to go. The house is very comfortable with a beautiful master bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The owners were easy to communicate with and very accommodating to our schedule. Would highly recommend this property.

Summary: We had an amazing stay at Marijane and Steve's home and would highly recommend this rental for anyone visiting the Oceanside/Carlsbad area. The house was beautiful, clean, and spacious. Even with a large group of multiple families, we never felt on top of each other. The 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms allowed us all to have our own space and have some quiet time when needed. The back patio is fabulous and beautifully landscaped. We spent much of our time on the patio and it felt very private due to the house sitting up on a hill. The house is located close to the beach; however, if taking a lot of gear with you or if traveling with children, the walk can be a little long. We didn't mind taking the car to the beach because we could be there in minutes. The house is also located close to Wal-Mart, Trader Joe's, Starbucks, and other shops and restaurants. It was actually faster for us to walk to the stores than to drive as there is a foot path to stores a couple blocks away. Getting on the 5 and 78 is also very easy from this location. Lastly, our hosts, Marijane and Steve, were wonderful. They gave us our privacy and made us feel welcome in their home. They provided a lot of information on what there was to do in the area and they even gave us a bottle of wine to enjoy. The house had everything we needed, from bedding to dishes. We would definitely stay here again!

Summary: Great property. Owners were very helpful before and during the stay. 10 minutes to legoland, 5 minutes to Oceanside pier, 5 mins to Carlsbad.

Summary: Remarkably kept home in a secluded cul de sac that is minutes from the ocean and amenities. Spacious with wonderful views and outdoor terrace. It was the perfect place to spend time with our family.

Summary: Beautiful spacious home in a quiet neighborhood but near everything. Close enough to walk to shops and stores. Very relaxing garden patio area with nice view. We loved staying here. Had thanksgiving with our family and had everything we needed in kitchen...owners are great to work with. We will stay here again

Summary: This was our second stay at Steve and Marijane's beautiful home. It's so convenient to have the large driveway to load and unload. It's close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. The backyard is a beautiful sanctuary with birds, succulents, and beautiful waterfall. The kitchen is large and well equipped. We would definitely recommend for a family vacation! Can't wait to come back. Thank you Steve and Marijane!!!
