The main floor of this spacious home offers 1500 sqft of open floor plan and offers 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with 2 twin beds. Summary: This is a great little spot to stay for a getaway. Sidney is such a charming town and there were coffee shops and a grocery market less than a 5 minute drive away from the cabin. We stayed here for one week in early September and it was warm enough to sit outside on the deck for most dinners. We really enjoyed the view overlooking the lake, and the kids also really enjoyed watching the plains fly in, not to mention having the beach right across the street for seashell collecting during the low tide! The cabin was very spacious for four people, and we had a lovely stay. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay, in spite of some glaring maintenance issues. Due to its location near the airport, we thought overhead traffic might be bothersome but it wasn't. Instead, the automobile traffic noise on the street was the issue. As the home has no heat pump / AC, and with the sun blasting heat into it most of the day, open windows at night are a must just to cool things down. The overhead fan in the master bedroom sounds like a hornet's nest and needs attention. We found clumps of pet hair under the couch in the main living room while searching for a children's toy, the windows were heavily water-stained ruining the views, and the deck furniture needed a good cleaning. As there are no pressure equalized faucets in the shower, doing anything else with hot water (dish-washer, laundry) creates scalding/freezing water temp changes while showering. The wooden blinds, while beautiful, don't open/close without considerable force. The front screen door doesn't latch properly. The door out to the upstairs deck needs re-alignment (the force necessary to close/open it could break the interior window). There was a coffee maker, but no filters. The glasses/dishes selection was far too formal for a family gathering, especially if there are children around. We found the fridge/freezer unable to make ice for several days - continuous use of the turbo/boost setting was necessary. We were disappointed with the home's condition, especially for the price we paid.

Summary: It is a nice space and has a great deck. There is no AC. The inside of the house was clean.There was a hornets nest on the upper deck. No pool or hot tub. I think a lower rate would have been fair. I found it odd the property manager requested the family to stay outside until he completed the check in with the person who booked the rental to avoid a lot of questions and confusion.

Summary: Lovely views, plenty of room, nice to have a w/d. Stunning sunsets over Patricia Bay. Lovely decks. Comfortable beds. A great place to unwind with family. Recommendations: A few more oscillating fans for the front rooms that get all day sun. Drop the in-person meet and greet. That is difficult to manage when arriving by ferry. To many variables to give an exact time. Send a video greeting to discuss anything particular about the property.

Summary: Great spot to unwind with friends who have an infant and a 2 year old. Plenty of space, close to beach, aquarium, Butchart Gardens, parks and playground. Short drive to/from the ferry dock and to grocery store, fish market , etc.
