Positive: We stayed at the Omni Shore Hotel in DC for a college networking event and a visit to a foreign embassy. The location was perfect—just a 5-minute walk to the event and about a 10-minute drive to the embassy. We really enjoyed dinner with live jazz music—the singer was fantastic and performed some great old favorites. We also took advantage of the amenities, relaxing in the jacuzzi, swimming in the pool, and getting a good massage. Overall, it was an excellent stay—convenient, fun, and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again!
Negative: The only hiccup was having just decaf coffee and no water in the room, but the front desk sent real coffee, complimentary water, and coupons for cappuccinos at the hotel shop—the cappuccino was great and the ladies there were so nice.

Positive: Room was a good size, appointed in classic style. Had a balcony and so we could open windows. Bathroom had its own "foyer" with a door. Large bath tub. Hotel grounds were awesome, one of the attractions of this hotel. One could chose a few places to eat al fresco. Location was convenient, plenty of small restaurants and cafes and also a grocery store. Also a park with walking trails that can get you to some city attractions. Next to M subway stop. There is a large outdoors swimming pool of an interesting shape - was a delight.
Negative: Food was not great. Parking fee was exorbitant at 60$ a day. If you don't need a car during your stay, it is best to find a private parking.
Summary: Had a pleasant stay, hope to come again.

Positive: Early check-in is free of charge - I was delighted to get into my suit to fall asleep after an exhausting travel day. The staff at the front desk helped me print out two pages I needed for my embassy visit, also free of charge. The bathrobe was so good - I even contemplated purchasing it, but 70 bucks is too much. Good water pressure, and the drain was not clogged. The toiletries had a pleasant smell, and everything was sealed to preserve freshness. AC is powerful - cools the room in no time. Blackout curtains enable deep sleep at any time, helping you fight jet lag effectively. You need an ID to sit in the bar zone. Beetroot salad was delicious. Some may call the hotel vintage. I'd say that it needs a minor renovation round and a deep clean for the silver decor to eliminate patina. Chamomile and Earl Grey tea are provided, as well as coffee and a coffee machine. The hair dryer does not have any attachments (sorry curly hair people). Zoo is very close and free to visit! I went twice.
Negative: 60% of the staff that I interacted with had not-so-good English. You need to put in extra effort to explain what you want from them. They usually used Spanish when communicating with each other. Valet service is a little weird. They have too many doors and too few men to operate them luxuriously as they meant to do. So sometimes you're entering through the open doors, and sometimes the valet would be on the other side of the hall and either won't notice you until you're already wrestling with the doors, or is too far to cross the large hall in time. My main issue was that the employees in their dining hall could not care less about guests, even if they tried. It took the lady about 10 minutes to even notice me and bring me the menu. Another 10 to take my order, and maybe 15 to see me waving at her to ask for the bill. They aren't cleaning tables before seating you there; dirty dishes can sit there for an hour before someone cleans up the table. They are idly chatting and deliberately not looking at the guests. So it's way easier to get the bill if you come to them and directly ask for it. And even then, on my third day, they printed it and forgot to give it to me. Same with ordering. Just look up the menu online, don't bother to wait for it.
Summary: The stay was nice, don't be shy to ask for anything!

Negative: The rooms had a weird smell, I was moved to a different room because the headboard was broken and didn’t have a balcony in the second room. The hot tub outside by the pool was broken. Which was one of the main reasons for my choosing this hotel.
