Summary: A lovely apartment with a fantastic view of Lake Maggiore and Isola Bella. An electric gate to spacious parking - difficult to find in Stresa apartments! A short walk to Carcione ferry station to go to the islands, but a short drive to a large car park in Stresa next to Stresa ferry station so very easy to get around. Apartment very well equipped - everything you need. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Summary: We’ve had very relaxing stay at the Villa Dora in Stresa. Laura, the owner was very friendly and helpful in getting further information. The Villa is directly placed at the main sea road towards Stresa, which might become at little bit noisy during the weekend. But the view and the location is able to compensate. We would come again.

Summary: We would have stayed much longer if possible. Great old villa with a very nice appartment and own terrace at an amazing place by the lake, close to city center and beach. Laura and her family took very good care of us. Looking already forward to our next visit!

Summary: In a word - faultless. Communication from the owner was excellent. The apartment was exactly as described, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The electric gates and sweeping driveway up to the villa certainly added to the 'wow' factor. Villa Dora is divided into several apartments, and during our visit all the others were empty, which added to the feeling we were somewhere very special. A 5 minute walk takes you to the ferry terminal so exploring Lake Maggiore without the car is easy. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and can't wait to stay there again.

Summary: Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with stunning 5* view of the lake from your own private terrace, perfect if you want your own space. About 25 min walk into the centre of town, but cable car and ferry stop only 10 min away. First 7 min along quiet main road, safe in single file, then it's lakefront path all the way. Washing machine very handy, locked outer gates, great shower, comfy beds. Owner Laura was extremely helpful and lovely. Loads to do, Tomassucci Travel trips very good. Taxi to airport 100euro, Alibus cheaper option. Highly recommend!

Summary: We spent one week in May 2015 with our 3 year old daughter in Villa Dora and loved the place. Upon arrival we were greated by our charming host Laura with a bottle of wine and local pastries. Laura also gave us some very useful information about things to do with little children in the area around Stresa. The appartment was very clean, modern and features all the amenities you need. We felt right at home. Kitchen is good to fix small meals, though we went out most nights. Bathroom is spacious. The outdoor terrace and the lawn were great playing areas for our daughter. And of course - the view with the Isola Bella right in front of the property is spectacular! Just one note of caution: if you are looking for total peace and quiet, beware that the villa sits on the main road Sempione, hence you will hear the traffic when you ar outside. However, this did not bother us - we are definitely considering coming back.

Summary: The Villa is a fantastic location for nice holidays at the Lago. With direct view to the Isola Bella and and short walk to Stresa, the Villa Dora is ideally located. The apartement in the charming historic building was in perfect condition and equipped with everything you need.
