Perfectly tucked in a quiet residential street yet close to everything the city has to offer. Walk down Frenchmen Street and explore New Orleans like a local on your way to the French Quarter or relax in the private backyard with a new heated pool, hot tub, and grill. The Space:
This historic home is on featured on the historic register and features all its impressive original architectural features that are tastefully furnished and decorated with contemporary features grand arches with 12 foot ceilings, two artist murals, glamorous chandeliers, historic crown molding and restored hardwood floors throughout. The space is furnished with local New Orleans antiques curated for the right amount of Southern charm and comfort.
Each bedroom features a bit of modern luxury with casper mattresses, a seating area, plush down comforters and both memory foam and down pillows to allow for a good night’s sleep

The house is safely and conveniently located in the Marigny. Frenchman Street (better known by the locals) boasts unique shops, cafes, bars and restaurants which will distract you on your quick 10-minute walk to the French Quarter. There, you can then take in the only riverfront views of the Mississippi River from Jackson Square, listen to jazz, and explore the local French Market. There is a Walgreens, Robert’s grocery store and Starbucks all within the block.
Getting Around:
The area is safe to walk around and has many bustling restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops. Taxis and ride shares are also a great way to get around. Distance to the following:

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport: 25 minutes by car
Convention Center: 12 minutes by car
Tulane University: 15 minutes by car

Summary: This historic home made our jaws drop with all of the style, antiques and comfort. Beds roomy and comfy. Scads of bathrooms to support the whole familyKitchen was modern and very user friendly regarding what was available.Loved the pool and spa. Used it every evening!

Summary: We were there for the first week in December for a wedding. This property is in walking distance to the majority of things we wanted to do (12 minutes walking slowly.) Just a few notes. For little children and elderly. There is a big bedroom on first floor because the staircases are a bit tricky. They are old and I think people had smaller feet in the past, LOL. I would recommend the big first floor bedroom that had a secret staircase to two upper rooms. The upper rooms do not have dressers or clothing storage. My son used one bedroom to sleep in and one bedroom for his "dressing room and laid his clothing on the bed." The bathrooms need some kind of small table to lay things on. We had two sinks and had one piled high with our personal items. Next time cleaning people come in, tell them to give a good dust underneath the furniture. These are only tiny issues and I would stay here again for sure!

Summary: Beautiful house, convenient to much of touristy New Orleans. Huge kitchen/dining, very comfortable. Host was available. Down side a couple of the showers didn't work well (there are 5 showers though), and if planning on doing any cooking bring kitchen towels, hot pads, etc, kitchen is not well equipped with those items. All in all a very good experience.

Summary: We stayed at this beautiful historic mansion for a long birthday weekend with my family. The house was incredible! It was extremely luxurious and very clean. The location was perfect. We were able to walk and take short Uber rides wherever we wanted to go and when we got back to the house at night we could relax in the more quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend!

Summary: When they say opulent, they mean it! We rented this for my 40th bday and it was perfect in every way! We felt extra fancy, the decor was beautiful, very spacious, the pool was perfect! The location was sooo great, just a 2 minute walk to the top of Frenchman. An epic bday celebration! Will be back!
