Sleeping eight, up to two families can really enjoy lifeโ€™s slower pace. Children will be easily entertained by the trampoline, ping pong table and play equipment while adults relax on the upstairs alfresco area for BBQs and drinks, overlooking the children at play amongst the stands of sheoak, marri, banksia and jarrah trees.
This home is cleverly designed to maximise treetop views from almost every angle of the upstairs open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. Big windows and high ceilings give this whole zone a very bright and spacious feel.

The layout of the home is split across three levels. The living area, alfresco deck, plus master bedroom and ensuite are on the top level; a shared bathroom and separate laundry are on the mid-level; and two remaining bedrooms are on the ground floor.
Orchid House is also a wonderful bushland haven for discovering wildflowers in spring and for watching the visiting Baudin cockatoos, parrots and kangaroos that frequent this five-acre property throughout the year. Wildflowers found on this property include rattle orchids, swan river myrtles, kangaroo paws, enamel orchids, blue lady orchids and donkey orchids but you have to time your visit to see them. The best months are September and October.
Reverse cycle air-conditioning during summer plus two electric column heaters and a cosy wood fire in winter make this home an ideal getaway in comfort at any time of the year.

Summary: The property is family friendly. Kitchen and bathroom recently renovated however, the rest of the house a bit tired. Several globes were missing and the room with the bunks and queen bed doesnโ€™t have any bedside lights. In the other two double rooms two of the bedside lights were broken. The property manager dealt with these problems fairly promptly. The gravel around the house leads to a lot of dust and red dirt entering inside. The grounds could do with some upgrading.

Summary: so peaceful and just a treat to stay here. Such a special place in the bush. House has everything we need, table tennis was a huge hit with the kids. Adults loved the peaceful upstairs and balcony.

Summary: Lovely property, perfectly positioned to really get away from it but still be close enough to quickly get anywhere around the MR region. The property was clean, neat and tidy and very easy to relax in.

Summary: Such a lovely property in such a beautiful setting. We were all very comfortable and had a great time. Unfortunately the oven didnโ€™t work properly which was a little inconvenient and disappointing. The house is perfectly located with so many wineries, galleries and activities a short drive away. I would recommend anyone to visit this property summer or winter.
