Summary: This is a brilliant place to stay to explore Suffolk. Gary, the owner ,was a super host, ensuring we were prepared before we arrived. The squirrel lodge was spotless and the garden was beautiful. The site was very secure with an electric gate. The village was within walking distance and sights of interest were a short drive away. We loved this place and are looking forward to returning in the future.

Summary: This was our first visit to Suffolk. It was particularly useful to have our accommodation within the grounds of the owners' house. Our hosts were extremely friendly and provided us with much useful information as to what to visit etc etc. They also provided a welcome pack which was very much appreciated. The accommodation itself is situated in a rural location, but with easy access to places of interest. The property is modern, was very clean and was ideal for us. The bed was comfortable. With a well equipped kitchen the premises provided all we needed for our stay. All in all we had a very enjoyable time and hope to return in the future.

Summary: We wanted some post Christmas time away where we could chill out and have a quiet New Year. This was just the place! Squirrel is a lovely property with everything you could want for. Situated in lovely villages but close enough to various pubs and shops if you need them - this is a great place to stay whether you want to go out and explore or just hunker down and be cosy. I cannot recommend highly enough and hope that we can make a return trip soon.

Summary: A week's self catering in Owl's Roost provided perfect accommodation for visiting the Summer Theatre Festival in Southwold & Aldeburgh. Gary and Tracy are the perfect hosts and their enthusiasm and attention to detail was much appreciated. Not only delicious home-made lemon drizzle cake & milk in the fridge on arrival but also a bottle of wine for later. Owls Roost is beautifully decorated, clean and extremely comfortable. It was great to wake up to beautiful views over the garden and beyond. I was visited by Billy and Cathy their dogs and also enjoyed watching their unusual hens clucking around the garden. Tracy & Gary gave helpful advice on eating out, walks etc. I thoroughly enjoyed their company and hope to visit again next spring. Great places to visit & walk or watch the world go by: Southwold, Walberswick, Dunwich, Minsmere, Thorpeness, Aldeburgh, Snape, Orford Ness. And finally a hidden gem at Huntingfield ..... the church with a ceiling painted by the vicar's wife.

Summary: Excellent stay at the Owl's Roost. Very nicely finished and good attention to detail. Nice quiet area and great for cycling and walking. Very pleasant hosts, Gary and Tracy all needs caterd for. Would definitely recommend staying there. Booking arrangement very easy and smooth. We thoroughly enjoyed our first stay in Suffolk. The only disappointment would be that we could not take Billy, their dog, home with us 😀

Summary: Owl's Roost is a delightful property just up the road from the church in Peasenhall. We could not praise this accommodation more highly; it is spotless, modern, well-equipped and very comfortable and looks out onto a lovely big garden. We loved the bedroom with its big picture window and such a comfortable bed. Gary & Tracy were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Peasenhall is a good base for visiting the pretty Suffolk countryside, and at 9 miles from Minsmere is a great base for birders. We definitely recommend Owl's Roost and would go back any time. Thank you Gary & Tracy for a wonderful stay.

Summary: We spent a week here and so wished we could have stayed for longer. From the moment we arrived and were warmly greeted by the owners we knew we had found a gem. The accommodation is cosily furnished and everything you need is thought of and some - a bottle of wine, a lemon drizzle cake (home baked) and a pinta in the fridge were there on our arrival,. Peasenhall is a lovely village as is the surrounding area, we especially liked Framlingham and Debenham and with the Suffolk heritage coast only half an hours drive away you have the best of both worlds close by. There are several good pubs nearby serving excellent food and drink, two we particularly liked were The White Horse at Badington and The Kings Head at Yoxford both reasonably priced. The barn conversion is in a lovely peaceful spot with beautiful views from your bedroom window. The gardens are a delight and you can catch the rays sitting at your private patio area whilst watching the antics of the owners chickens! The owners of the barn conversion were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them and I have no hesitation in highly recommending this wonderful property.

Summary: Loved this barn from the moment we saw it. Set in a beautiful location next to the owners home and looking out on to their gorgeous garden. The barn is newly converted to a very high standard and was very well equipped with all that we needed for our stay. It was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. We had a warm welcome from the lovely owners Tracy and Gary who did everything possible to make our stay special. Peasenhall is a pretty village with easy access to the coast.
