Summary: Staying at Cassa Fanella was wonderful. After the busy and beautiful Amalfi Coast and Sorrento this place overlooking Vesuvius, Meta and Sorrento was a peaceful haven. Close to buses but away from the crowds. Stefania could not have been more helpful and the accommodation was wonderful.

Summary: We spent a week at Stenfania's Casa Fanella and thorough enjoyed our visit there. The accomodation was clean, and was as described in listing. There are two bedrooms, a bathroom, living room and small kitchen as well as a small laundry area with a working washing machine. The views from the kitchen table are incredible as one can see out over the Piano de Sorrento area and out to the Bay of Naples and over to Mt Vesuvius. We spent a lot of time sitting on the spacious patio enjoying the views. Steffania, our host, provided excellent service. She sent us lots of information on the surrounding area concerning the local bus system, places to see, local restaurants and how to find her place via both public transport as well as driving directions. Stefannia even offered to pick us up at the train station and bring the four of us to our accomodation upon our arrival in Piano Di Sorrento. She made herself available via SMS and was always quick to respond to our enquiries. We really appreciated meeting her and were impressed by her hospitality. The house is located up in the hills above Piano di Sorrento. There is a convenient hourly bus service to the house from the Piano di Sorrento's Piazza Cota which is about a block or so away from the train station servicing Sorrento, Pompeii and Naples. Bus service to the Amalfi coast is approximately 300 meters away from the house. We enjoyed our visit to Stenfania's Casa Fanella and would stay there again, should we find ourselves in the Sorrento area again.

Summary: What a stunning find this beautiful apartment was!! Our gorgeous hostess, Stefania, arranged to meet us at a local restaurant so that she could show us around the accomodation, answering any questions we might have at the same time. I would just like to stress at this point how fantastic she was-before we even flew over to Sorrento, she sent us lots of information about the area, places of interest to visit, restaurants we may like to eat at, shops we could use, and routes for driving in the area and from the airport. This was so unexpected, and really helpful when planning our holiday.The apartment is at the lower levels of quite a steep, narrow road so we were glad to have only hired a small car! It has it's own covered parking space right next to the property. Entrance through the large garden is via an electric gate, so security is excellent. We were delighted by the most incredible views over the villages and towns in the valley below, with Mount Vesuvius clearly in the distance, and the blue Mediterranean Sea between the hills. There is lots of outdoor seating positioned in various locations, so we could have the sun on us all day if we wanted! Inside, the apartment is lovely. Entrance is straight into the lounge area, with flat screen TV and free wi-fi. To the left is the kitchen/breakfast room which has the most amazing sliding windows which open so wide we felt as if we were almost in the garden. We spent most of our time at the property sitting in here, just soaking up the view...amazing. At the other end of the apartment there is a shower room with toilet and bidet, a large double bedroom, and a smaller one with bunk beds.Heavy shutters can be lowered at night time if you like your room to be very dark. There is lots of storage space, and the bed was extremely comfortable . It is all the little things which make Casa Fanella even nicer- Stefania had put a delicious bottle of local wine in the fridge for us, plus pasta, sauce, teabags, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, water and crispbreads ready for us so that we did not have to go out for shopping as soon as we had unpacked. Clean linen and towels were put in the outside laundry room for us halfway through our stay- there is an excellent washing machine, and detergent was provided. Stefania was the nicest hostess we have ever had the privilege of meeting-we loved Casa Fanella, and highly recommend this beautiful gem to fellow travellers!

Summary: Very beautiful house and nice garden with an amazing view on Vesuvio and the sea. Quiet, relaxing, clean, well equipped with all the necessary for a long holiday.The wi-fi is great. It's in a good position to easly reach Pompei, Capri, Positano, Amalfi, Sorrento and Naples.Stephani is a very kind and helpful owner. We highly recommend this apartment!
