The farmhouse "Oliveto dei Monti" is a single building of 130 sqm, over two floors, located on the hills of Cerveteri, rent in full. The house is located 5 km from the village.
The decor, simple and rustic, wants to preserve the nature of the place: the floors are tiled, doors, windows and furniture are made of wood, the beds and the lights are in wrought iron, the ceilings have exposed wooden beams. Summary: My husband and I wanted to spend our anniversary in Italy. Since studying Etruscan art and archaeology in college, I've wanted to visit the necropolis in Cerveteri and Tarquinia. When I found this beautiful villa, I knew this would be our ideal "home" while exploring the region of Lazio for nearly one week. From our initial contact with the owner, I knew that we had found an excellent match. Not only was the home beautiful and easily located within driving distance of the Rome Fiumicino Airport, Cerveteri and Tarquinia, and a short train ride away from central Rome, the owner was prompt, informative, courteous and polite. Even when we arrived at the villa she provided us with refreshments, local resources and tourist information. My husband and I didn't use two of the guest rooms but there was ample space with a comfortable bed, nice bathroom. convenient kitchen and living room. My absolute favorite place was the front patio. My husband and I spent our mornings there sipping coffee and our evenings there savoring local wine. All the while, we listened to the birds singing and breathed in the sweet mountain air, and feasted our eyes on the lovely view of olive gardens and the ocean. The villa is private and situated down a long road. For those willing to go a little off the beaten path, this is perfect. We had never had an entire mountain to ourselves before and we enjoyed the beauty, peace and calm. We even saw a fox, a herd of sheep, and listened to the sounds of cows mooing in the distance. One evening we took a hike through the mountains just behind the house. I would recommend this to travelers of all ages, including families, if you want to spend full days exploring and appreciate retiring to a spacious, serene, beautiful and comfortable home away from home.

Summary: Accommodation and care by the owner were excellent. The house is set amidst the hills near Cerveteri. The last three kilometers have to be covered on a dirt road. To Cerveteri is about 5 kilometers. The house stands on a 2500 square meter plot, which is completely fenced. The support provided by the landlord was also excellent. All requests both in advance of the booking, as well as during the stay were always answered quickly and competently. It was also always ready to answer questions about the usual addition of all kinds. The reception on arrival was very welcoming and there is taken too much time to show us around and explain. Information about the region and the nearby Rome were already prepared. In addition, we found a well-stocked fridge with various vegetables from the garden, wine, water, coffee and even olive oil. The house has three bedrooms, two of which are located on the upper floor. All bedrooms have private bathrooms, two with shower and one with bath. The mattresses are new and not too soft. The living room is very spacious and equipped with television and fireplace. Wood was also present. The kitchen was equipped with all cooking utensils and in addition possessed a fireplace that can be used for grilling. Also, a dishwasher and a washing machine. From the kitchen and the living room you can reach the outside. Terrace furniture are also available. The facilities are good and useful, it's all clean and well maintained. We felt very comfortable and would like to rent the house again.
