Positive: Location was perfect. The house itself, the view and the gardens.
Negative: Not providing towels for guests was not appreciated especially as a family of four who have travelled from abroad and do not have extra space to carry towels with us. Floor was wet on arrival due to leaking from the fridge. Electric meter in the house. Having paid so expensively for the house there should not be a meter for guests to add money for electricity. It would be useful to cut some of the grass / shrubs… along the road to the property for guests who have hired a car.

Negative: Improved signage to the property now that the official access road is not usable. Directions in reality have to be made via the YHA access road and for first time visitors this would not be obvious. Even more difficult arriving in the dark as we did so much so after several failed attempts to locate we booked into a hotel in Beddgelert (The Royal Goat) on Saturday evening. Even on Sunday morning it proved difficult. Once you know however its fine but guests need this extra piece of info in our view. This is meant to be helpful. We had the most wonderful stay in an outstanding location.

Positive: A traditional cottage nestled on the edge of Snowdon with a great view to the lake. The fireplace was exceptional and all facilities. A very short drive to a village of Beddgelert or a long walk!
Negative: No clear directions or signs to the lake access!

Positive: Beautiful cottage situated in the middle of Snowdonia. Far from the main road and very private with beautiful view over the lake. The house is well kept.
Negative: Bathroom could be a bit cleaner and the showerhead is at the wrong end of the bathtub (the sloped side).
Summary: Beautiful cottage far from all daily troubles, just mountains, walks and the lake.
