Positive: We had a very pleasant stay. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, and we felt comfortable from the very beginning. We especially appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the hosts. They were always available for us and even supported us in planning our day trips, which really enriched our vacation.
Negative: A small note for future guests: there is no air conditioning and the fan provided is quite weak. So if you are visiting during the hotter months, you should be prepared to handle the heat. Despite that, we truly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it!

Positive: Stony & Marcus of Papaya Village are amazing hosts. Make sure you eat every night at the Villa. Marcus is a Chef and will cook you lovely diners. Stony wil make you an amazing breakfast. We will come back for sure!! Loved it!

Positive: Comfort, cleanliness and care are all exceptionally attended to here. We loved the fact that it was well out of town, on the south eastern corner, where there is fantastic reef and swimming holes to explore. Papaya Villa has its own version of blue Lagoon and because you are the only guest when you stay here, you have it to yourself. It is well worth having Marcus make your dinner because he is a trained chef, and the breakfast included is sublime as well. The hosts are both super friendly and attentive.

Positive: The location was incredible for access to private natural swimming pools and for a complete get away from the bustle of everyday life. Food was exceptional - breakfast cooked by Stoney and dinner by Marcus & the opportunity to cook at the cooking school. Private and a real personal touch completed the perfect slice of paradise that is Papaya Villa.
Negative: The only downside is that being off-grid, you cannot use hair driers or kettles but Stoney provided jugs of hot water for tea and coffee and the sun dried my hair - it was a relief to be away from it all and relax into island living! The drive out of town is about 30 minutes over a pot-holed road if you want to enjoy eating out.
Summary: A perfect slice of paradise we hope to visit again and again.
