That is exactly what you will experience when you stay at Haymar House of Lake Murray!
This large spectacular home boasts incredible views of the lake with gorgeous oaks, pine trees and lush green grass. Enjoy swimming, boating or fishing off your own private lighted dock on a secluded cove. Or, grab a kayak or paddle board and cruise around watching our local wildlife in action.
You can catch some sun on the stone patio near the water or grab a good book in one of the hammock chairs in one of the two massive screened porches complete with propane firepit and a 75 inch smart TV. Want some AC? Most bedrooms have private climate control and a large smart TV. You can curl up on one of the couches in either one of the two large living rooms. Want more seclusion? The upstairs private suite has 2 beds, a private living area and a kitchenette! Are you the chef in the family? How about choosing between one of two full kitchens!
Have a large family? This home sleeps 22 of your closest friends and relatives in style! Have kids? Then we have you covered! There's shuffle board, ping pong, a outdoor pool table, and board games. There's a large bunk bed room that sleeps 8 and has it's own large screen smart TV and climate control! Plenty of space on multiple levels and perfect for large family get togethers!
There are even water floats and some yard toys for you to choose from. Dinner time on Lake Murray frequently means lighting up the grill. Which one to light will be one of your toughest choices of the day at Haymar House! Blackstone? Propane? Wood fire with swivel grate? Take your pick!!!
You can even add an optional pontoon rental delivered to your dock! The pontoon boat includes a 2 person tube and adult life vests, and can be used as long as the sun is out! No having to drive to a rental place at 8am and wait in line and sign 30 minutes worth of papers only to return and empty the boat by 5:30. We won't even mention the long fuel lines you will face at return time. We meet you at the house! When your done, throw the boat keys on the kitchen counter and we handle the rest.
You'll enjoy quiet evenings under the stars, listening to local toads, birds, and the occasional fish jumping in the lake. We do ask that you follow local noise ordinances with quiet hours between 9 pm and 7 am. Many of your neighbors are local residents. Relaxation and peace are key points at Lake Murray.

Summary: Two members of our family live in SC and the rest of us live in CA. Fifteen of us traveled to join our SC family for a week on Lake Murray. The property was big enough to accommodate all of us with room to spare. The house was well equipped and the table games made it extra fun for the kids. We were able to rent to pontoon boats through the property manager and the water toys that were available for us to use made it extra fun. Everyone enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and we just enjoyed being together, cooking, preparing meals, fishing and just floating around in the lake. The neighborhood was quiet and lovely and we enjoyed early morning walks and evenings enjoying the fire flies. This was a perfect get away for our large family of 9 adults and 8 kids ages 3-17.

Summary: Overall it was a great stay despite our poor weather. Great house for multiple families and various ages. Convenient location and in a nice quiet cove. Property manager was great to work with - prompt reply and solved a couple of very minor issues we had at beginning of stay.

Summary: The house was great for our family gathering. Both levels have comfy living areas, beautiful kitchens and giant screened decks. There is literally a huge TV in every room of the house.It sleeps up to 22 people, but one queen bedroom is barely bigger than the bed, has no windows and looks like a former laundry room. Also, the only public full bath is on the main level; downstairs there is only a public half bath to service up to 10 people sleeping in rooms without a private bath.Overall our family of 14 had a fantastic time staying here.

Summary: Wonderful property for a group of 10-18 guests and the split-level layout is great for families with children. The housekeeping left a little to be desired (hair in the bathrooms/tubs, bath towels/cloths provided smelled sour), but a great rental overall

Summary: House was very nice. Big enough for everyone to have their own space. Very quiet area on the lake. The property manager was very helpful and quick to respond with any questions I had prior to my arrival.

Summary: We were very happy with the house. The best part of the house is the double enclosed lanai!!! The private dock and view were awesome. The host was VERY good. He was quick to respond to all my communications and was on top of getting an air conditioning issue fixed ASAP. Would highly recommend this property.
