Welcome to Pinon Paradise, our serene mountain retreat! Located between Taos (10 miles) and the Ski Valley (9 miles), it is perfect for summer and winter activities. Shops and restaurants in Arroyo Seco are only 3 miles away.
This home is truly special and unique. The extensively landscaped grounds are incredible. Guests are encouraged to pick and eat seasonal herbs and vegetables as well as cuttings from the wildflower garden. Depending on the time of year, you may be able to enjoy herbs, fresh vegetables, apples and grapes! In the winter, the snowy backdrop is the perfect end to a powdery ski day.
The home has high vigas ceilings and radiant heat floors. The back of the house has breathtaking views of Taos Mountain and spectacular sunrises. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need to prepare meals. There are two king bedrooms and a queen sleeper sofa (that is actually comfortable! It is a platform pull out with a gel mattress). There is one full bathroom.
Outside, there is a private hot tub with overhead string lights. The hot tub has views of the mountain that are the perfect end to a long day. The fire pit is surrounded by four large Adirondack chairs and encourages you to sit and relax (blankets are provided for the cool desert evenings).
If you are traveling with small children, there is a pack and play available.
4 wheel drive or chains required during snow.
Please note there is a Casita on the same property, situated with maximum privacy for each home. The homes are about 20 yards apart. Each home has it's own driveway and hot tub, but the grounds (fire pit, garden) are shared by both properties. If you have a larger group, please see the listing for reserving both properties as a "compound."
While this is a new listing, this property has been rented for years with numerous five star reviews. We have decided to rent without a management company because we want to know you, our guests, better!

Summary: If you are coming to Taos to ski, this is a great place. Warm and clean. Make sure to be clear in directions before you get close, because cell signal is rough.

Summary: Our family stayed here over Christmas week. It is such a cute and roomy house with great views. It is perfectly set up with everything we needed. Convenient drive to both Taos Ski Valley and town of Taos.

Summary: The outdoor garden was beautiful, The sitting area at the end of the walk had a nice view of the mountains. Firewood was provided and we had a nice outdoor fire in the round covered fireplace. Some convenience/maintenance items could be improved. The Fire detectors were missing, there weren't a large number of steps at the entrance but they were very tall and hard to walk up, the bedrooms were dimly lit and had no chairs to sit on to put on shoes, the hot water heater had a repaired pipe that was slightly leaking and this heater was very loud cutting on and off, the bed was very tall and was very hard to get into with no step stool, the picnic type dining table with the long bench seats was uncomfortable to use.

Summary: We absolutely loved this property. The adobe home was charming and rustic while also being well supplied with everything we needed. The views of the mountains, the fire pit, the hot tub, and the garden all added up to make this home a very special slice of New Mexico that my family and I would love to return to. The host Amy was also super friendly and responded quickly to questions.

Summary: The property was perfect- everything was clean and tidy. The home was well equipped with bonus items (oils, spices, extra paper towels, laundry soap) that were unexpected but awesome! The hot tub was great and clean and comfortable. We enjoyed it most evenings. We loved the view of Taos mountain in the morning with coffee and in the evening. The gardens were another added bonus and the yard and grounds were immaculate. Can’t wait to come back! We miss it already..

Summary: My friends and I had a wonderful few days in the beautiful house at the end of March. The interior was very comfortable and had many personal touches not common in rentals these days. We also enjoyed the fire pit with it's gorgeous views of the mesa and mountains, and even made friends with a local dog. The hot tub was also amazing for relaxing after a day skiing or just simply relaxing. We would happily stay again!
