If you have ever dream about a villa holiday in blissful seclusion where you can lose all sense of time, then this unique property will prove ideal, enjoying one of the most enviable positions you are ever likely to find in Crete.
Perched on a hilltop and on the edge of the sea, the views are stupendous and its immaculate interior match its magnificent location.
The villa has two floors, each with its own private entrance into a three bedroom apartment.For all intents and purposes the two units are entirely separate and private and in our view it is also ideally suited to a larger group who may wish to rent the whole property exclusively.
The swimming pool is situated in the rocks to one side and is accessed by a common path from the house.Whether you are lounging on the terraces around the pool or relaxing on the spacious private balconies, the views are fabulous and the silence broken only by the waves against the rocky shoreline below.
The standard of the interiors is high, each apartment consists of two bathrooms one with shower, and the other with a jacuzzi bath, three good size bedrooms, one double and two twins, some bedrooms have a balcony, a spacious sitting/dining room with a fully equipped kitchen in a section off the sitting area.
The sitting room which has a fireplace, is tastefully furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs, a wide glazed window with two doors leads to a huge balcony with views that will take your breath away.Each apartment has the added convenience of a dishwasher, and a washing machine is provided in the larger of the two bathrooms.
With a constant breeze for which Crete is well known, the villa never feels stuffy and yet air-conditioning is provided in every room.

Summary: This villa had the most astounding views! Perched above a rocky outcrop, the sunsets every night were a delight. The expanse of the sea below was magical. The Villa was exactly as described in the listing and Giorgios and Penelope could not have been more welcoming. Their communication with us was faultless and they connected us with a wonderful man named Christos who helped us arrange activities and a chef during our stay. We would most certainly return!

Summary: This is a beautiful apartment, in a lovely quiet location, with a great swimming pool and lovely sea views. A car is necessary to get to the nearest amenities, but everything is just a short drive away. Cleaning and pool maintenance was provided three times a week and the hosts were friendly, responsive and very helpful. Would very much recommend!

Summary: We had a lovely family holiday at Villa Penelope. The villa was exceptionally clean and cleaned twice during our week long stay. We loved the pool area, outside seating and the amazing views. The villa is split into two three bedroom apartments and this worked well for our party of 11. There was everything we needed and our host was very responsive when we had any questions. You do need a car as there is very little within walking distance but we found some lovely restaurants a short drive away. Overall we all loved our stay and would stay again!

Summary: This was our first trip to Crete. We loved it. Penelope is a beautiful villa situated on a rocky hill that looks right down to the sea. All day and all night you can hear the waves crashing. In the evening the pool area and landscaping are lit up. Just breathtaking. The bedrooms were a good size and the bathrooms clean and new. Our hosts were very attentive to our needs although we didn’t call on them very often as we had no problems and everything worked. We would definitely stay there again. You can’t beat the location. Very quiet and peaceful in the evening as we watched the incredible sunset. Give Penelope a try. You won’t be sorry!!

Summary: No complaints at all, just a 15 min drive from the Chania airport. A little remote from the highway and shopping so maybe not the best option if you plan to explore Crete. But the destination is uniquely beautiful. The private pool is amazing. Watching sunsets from the patio is incredible and memorable. Amazing property!

Summary: No matter it was a short holiday break for our family we definitely enjoyed at the most. The house was fully equipped and we didn’t actually missed anything. The owners were friendly and ready to help and reply on our questions about the area etc. We recommend this place and will be back for a longer stay soon.
