For larger groups, additional sleeping is available in the self contained unit situated above the garage at an additional cost. Summary: We had a great time at this property. Plenty of space for the extended family and lovely lake access. Very safe area for kayaking for the children, and close to amenities. The house and its furniture is slightly older and a bit worn, which isn't a bad thing when you have several busy kids around! The kitchen could have been slightly better serviced (a lot of older equipment like rusty pots and plastic-handled knives and forks that kept breaking), but these things are easy to see past due to the space and the lovely lake view. The neighbour in the white house was a little difficult - complained about the noise of the children on the deck at 6pm and the singing of one of our group members outside on the deck at 5:30pm, despite the kids all being in bed by 7pm every night and no noise coming from the house after that. However, a great place for a larger group, and was an excellent spot for our annual extended family gathering! Thanks!

Summary: The best thing about this property in summer weather is the lakefront access and deck over the lake. The bathrooms and bedrooms aplenty were enough to accommodate everyone, along with plenty of room for personal quiet space. Would not recommend anyone over the age of 40 stay as the beds were quite hard on the hip/knee replacement crowd. Best fish n chip shop and 4Square down the road, you're well set up tp access the wildlife park and gondolas as well.

Summary: Plenty of beds for 11 of us. Great view and access to the lake. Close to town. Gas fire listed, no clear instructions for its use. Plenty of other heating though.

Summary: We had 3 adults and 5 kids, and this place was perfect for families. It's in a quiet residential neighbourhood (short walking distance to a chip shop, Four Square, and liquor store). The property manager was so nice and helpful, emailed a few days before our stay to let us know all the check-in details. We enjoyed having this as our home base in Rotorua! The only (minor) drawback was the lakeshore: before we let the children swim, we had to clean up sharp objects that had either floated to the shore or were thrown there by previous guests.
