Positive: Got lucky with a stunning spot right by the water! The view of local fishing boats and peaceful location was perfect - just a short ride from the old town by car or scooter. Managed to book last-minute and received a warm welcome from the host's father. The room was well-equipped with everything needed, and they were initially accommodating when I requested a specific late check-out time, which they agreed to.
Negative: However, despite confirming a later check-out and me being quite ill that day, communication broke down. Even though I'd informed them about being sick (barely able to keep anything down) and had agreed on a specific pickup time, I was disturbed twice before the arranged time - once for a non-existent taxi and again about cleaning the room. Given they'd approved the late check-out, this was particularly frustrating when all I needed was to rest quietly until my confirmed departure time.

Positive: The breakfast was simple, but good. The tastiest food was, when I had a sore throat. The older lady (I assume the mother of the owner) prepared a soup just for me without expecting anything back. I don't know the name of that soup (something local), but it was really delicious and helped me to get over my illness. Later she brought me also tea with honey and throat tablets, which was very cute and helpful.

Positive: The staff was very friendly and helpful. This is located close to restaurants and 7-11. The place a is a bit far from the beach area and other attractions. Definitely need to hire a motorbike which they do here.
Negative: We were in the last room on the floor. There were issues with connectivity to the internet if you have to make wifi calls best to work from the lobby area.

Positive: This has to be one of the best stays in Thailand. Often we found a good view was sacrificed by poor quality facilities. This was not the case here! Not only are you above the sea but the rooms, showers, air-conditioning are fantastic. The highlight is the host who is so attentive and friendly. Don't forget to check the rooftop at nighttime to see all the stars!
