Positive: First and most importantly, the flatlet is spotlessly clean and everything provided did work. You get access to a whole flat in the basement of a traditional Maltese style house. The architecture means that it will be naturally cool in summer and needed minimal heating when I was there in winter. Over midday the sun did shine into the flatlet through the small windows below the ceiling (see pictures). The flat has all basic equipment and owner Ryan is very friendly, efficient and responsive to requests for additional items. All my 'start-up' queries (items for the kitchen, a fan, etc) were dealt with to my fullest satisfaction. You are also given the use of the area around the pool. I enjoyed the presence of the many cats. There is plenty easy available on-street parking directly in front of the house which is a rare bonus. The overall price matches well what you get. I will be back next time if property is available.
Negative: Although the heating (via AC) did work in the kitchen/living room, the bedrooms remained a bit chilly. A simple fan to move the air around the flat helped with this. This situation is usual for traditional architecture for Malta in winter. The lower down position of the flatlet and small windows without a view to the outside might not suit everyone, I did not mind as I was busy otherwise. The level of 'comfort'/'luxury' of the flatlet itself (as shown realistically in the pictures) is rather around 6-7/10 and my overall rating of 8/10 reflects the many additional positive points described above.
Summary: Spotlessly clean, basic, basement flatlet with easy parking.

Positive: This is a spacious basement apartment with a separate entrance. The neighbourhood is calm and quiet. It includes two bedrooms, a living room and a washroom. The hosts are very nice, and they live upstairs. They made sure not to disturb us and assisted us whenever needed. The swimming pool was a very nice welcome for the hot summer, and we had it for ourselves during the entire stay.
Negative: It is better to have your own transport means since it is located a bit away from the public transport. (This was not an issue for us, since we had a rental car.)
Summary: A great option for a family, if you have a car

Positive: The pool. Climate in the apartment is chill due to the fact that it’s underground. The host was friendly and nice.
Negative: Presence of excessive amount of cats (11-20of them) - randomly living around the yard. There is no way you could eat or drink even a cup of coffee outside, because the minute you walked back to the flat to grab sugar or a spoon, the cats are all over your food and drinks. They are drinking from the pool and who knows what else. The presence of cats was unexpected and subjectively bad experience. Kitchen equipment was below average, pillows not comfortable - too stiff.
Summary: I would estimate lower price range for this place.

Positive: Really awesome! The host was really helpful and accomodating to my needs. They even let me stay a few hours past check out as they had no one coming in free of charge 😄 enjoyed the pool as well. Will surely book again.
