Our friendly family welcomes you to enjoy a stay at Koala Cottage, which is a 2-bedroom separate dwelling set away from the main house with your own space sharing 2.5 acres of native bushland and manicured gardens. Our property is fully fenced, and families and children are welcome.
Salt Ash, Port Stephens is located a short 10-minute drive from Newcastle airport and is a great base to explore the variety of options this amazing area offers with easy access to Port Stephens, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and The Hunter Valley.
Koala Cottage is equipped with a kitchenette which includes an oven, grill, air fryer combo - hob x 2 - microwave - toaster - kettle - kitchen utensils - Fridge/Freezer, Pantry items. Dining/lounge area, TV (Free WIFI)
2 reverse cycle air conditioners and ceiling fans in lounge-room and both bedrooms. Shower over small tub.

We supply fitted and flat sheets, duvets, duvet covers, pillow, pillowcases, mattress protectors, bath towels, hand towels, bathmats and kitchen towels. We ask that you please supply your own beach towels.
The property has a wide driveway entrance for easy access and ample parking for cars and boats. Our circular driveway (gravel) allows children to safely ride bicycles around the property.
Koala Cottage also hosts a trampoline, swing set & board games. There is plenty of space for children to run and enjoy nature.
Our coastal and rural acreage has visiting wildlife such as Koala, Possum, Goanna, Reptiles, and many different native birds including Rainbow Lorikeet, Eastern Rosella, Blue Faced Honeyeater, White Cockatoo, Yellow Crested Black Cockatoo, Pink Galah and Kookaburra. We also have an abundance of butterflies and dragonflies.
Unfortunately, pets are not permitted.
We have a friendly Australian Cattle dog, Ivy. We also have chickens and can supply fresh delicious eggs for you to enjoy during your stay.
You are welcome to relax around a fire pit which are STRICTLY prohibited during the Bush Fire Danger Period.
Koala Cottage operates with tank water only.
We are the perfect base for a fishing trip.

We are located a short drive from one of the largest coastal dune driving areas in NSW, Stockton Sand Dunes. The park provides four-wheel drive access to more than 19 km of Stockton beach front and over 350 hectares of dune driving in the Recreational Vehicle Area at the southern end of the park. Permit required.
