Positive: This was my first stop in Santo Antão, and such a great landing. Danisia was so friendly, and the welcome was very warm. The location is brilliant. My bedroom was right next to the ocean, and I fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Pombas is a beautiful small town at the bottom of Paul Valley. This is an excellent base for exploring the best of Santo Antão, Paul Valley hikes, Sinagoga Beach, buses to Ribeira Grande, and connections to unmissable towns like Ponta do Sol and Fontainhas. You’re within walking distance of really nice restaurants, banks, shops, and the centre of a beautiful, peaceful yet lively small town.

Positive: I had a wonderful welcome from the host Danisia, who is such a warm and friendly person. The room was very clean and comfortable and overlooks the sea; was wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. You also get a very nice breakfast in the morning!
