Powdermill Inn is located in an older condo building that has seen better days. The exterior and common areas are dated, and the building itself is managed by an HOA—meaning we don’t have control over its appearance or upkeep.
That said, our individual unit is updated, clean, and thoughtfully maintained. Inside the condo, you’ll find a cozy, well-equipped space with updated furnishings, fast Wi-Fi, a stocked kitchen, and comfortable beds. We’ve worked hard to create a space where guests can truly relax after their adventures.
We believe in being upfront about the setting so you know what to expect; the building is older, but our unit delivers comfort, value, and a great location just minutes from Big Powderhorn and Snow River resorts.

Summary: We stayed at this old hotel property many years ago, and so we chose to return and try this updated unit. There were plenty of comfortable beds and the kitchen was well stocked. Our hosts provided great communication and made the check in process easy and convenient. The location is close to plenty of skiing and Bessemer and Ironwood provided grocery and restaurant options. The building is older and does present some minor issues with temperature control, but it was also very quiet and we heard very little noise from other guests. We would definitely stay again in the future.

Summary: The property was awesome. Very nice and comfy and great location. The parking lot had a lot of potholes, but other than that GREAT place. Beautiful waterfall within walking distance to inn.

Summary: Well maintained condo in an old ski resort. Very clean and well supplied kitchen and bathroom. Host provided clear check in instructions and also checked in to make sure our stay was going well, which was nice! The towns in the area had plenty of places to eat and there was a Walmart a quick drive down the road. Plenty of waterfalls in the area to check out as well.

Summary: We chose this location to spend a week away from daily life recovering after a surgery. The location is perfectly close to town and perfectly far from town. The actual rented space is very well thoight out and very comfortable. The common spaces are a time warp back to the 90's and not currently operating, but this doesnt at all effect your stay or your rented space. Not to far was Copper Peak and Black River Harbor...both breathtaking adventures you deserve to go on!

Summary: When you pull up to this abandoned ski resort, you may have some feelings. Its kind of cool and you can imagine that it was once a busy place. But it does look creepy. I wasn't sure what we were in for. However, the condo itself is LOVELY. nice details. very comfy for my family. The area is really cool- with lots of natural beauty that you can drive to. The price was great and we had a nice time- I wish there was an area right outside that the kids could play in, but it's not that kind of place. It was perfect for a few nights.

Summary: The location was perfect, near ski resorts, off the main road near grocery shopping. The condo had what we needed for three people. The owner was correct in disclosing the common areas of the building are a bit run down and some areas are closed off, making it feel a bit creepy upon entry. With the exterior camera and more families coming in for the weekend, this place felt safe.

Summary: Very nicely finished condo across from Powderhorn mountain. Common areas all closed off but a ton of potential if they ever rehabbed it. Condo was nicely renovated and maintained. Will visit again!
