I have been listed on Owners Direct since April 2006, so shows that I have a proven track record of renting this property. With my long standing experience all my guests receive comprehensive paperwork throughout the booking process.
Situated on the ground floor, with nothing above or below, and built in traditional Sardinian style, the apartment is set in quiet gated community set within pretty gardens.
Casa di Volpe has two double bedrooms, the master has a double bed, and the second bedroom has twin beds. There are two shower rooms, one has a washing machine in it.
We can also provide a cot and high chair at no extra cost, but this must be confirmed at time of booking.
The living area is open plan, the kitchen is well stocked, and benefits from a fridge/freezer and dish washer. The lounge area has a large L shaped sofa and a coffee table.
The highlight of the property is the attractive private large covered fully furnished terrace, perfect for dinning and relaxing. The dinning area has a round table and four chairs, and the lounge area has a sofa, 2 chairs and a coffee table. Off this is a small private walled garden, and a spiral staircase which leads you up to an upper solarium terrace. This is a perfect place for 'chilling out' with a cool aperitif and enjoying amazing uninterrupted views over the Golfo di Olbia towards Isola Tavolara. This terrace also has a sofa, 2 chairs and a coffee table.
The apartment is tastefully furnished to a high standard, and is professionally maintained by a local English spoken lady. We go out to Sardinia on a regular basis so keep the standards up.
There are no owners possessions cluttering up the apartment as we lock them away in the third bedroom.
There is optional air conditioning/heating available on request, this is available in both the bedrooms, the main living area and kitchen. This is available on arrival or during your stay, at a cost of £70 per week. If you require use of this you will need to request it from my housekeeper, and pay £70 in cash before activation. We are having to charge this due to the very high cost of electricity.

On arrival at my property you will find a key safe with the key in, so you can let yourself in and not have to worry about meeting anyone. My housekeeper will contact you via phone to check you are OK. When inside you will find a comprehensive information folder with all the information you require for your holiday. There will also be a welcome pack of wine, water, milk, tea, coffee and sugar.
When our children were young we had villa holidays, so we have tried to think about what our guests require in a holiday home. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, we provide a freezer bag and blocks, a beach umbrella, buckets and spades, games and books. There is also a lock box for the keys, which allows you instant access whatever time you arrive.
The apartment is ideal for a family holiday or for a couple wanting a quiet romantic break.
Casa di Volpe is situated in Pittulongu, which is perfect all year round, and is an ideal base for guests who want a stunning location, yet be close to good amenities. Pittulongu is known for its 1.5km beach of white sand, this is our nearest beach and is just a 10 minute walk away. Locally to us are some of the best beaches in Europe, all with beautiful white sand and crystal clear waters. Locally we have a well-stocked supermarket, and a fish and bread shop, as well as some great restaurants and bars. The nearest restaurants are situated along the beach, and all offer a good selection of pasta, pizza and fish and views over the bay. For children there is a play area nearby, and paddle tennis courts.
Olbia is just a 10 minute drive away, and is a bustling city and port (although more the size of an English town). Here you will find all the facilities you would expect, a good selection of shops, restaurants, bars, banks, a fantastic archaeological museum, roman remains and a hospital.
Olbia airport is just 20 minutes drive, Alghero airport is 1.5 hour drive straight across the island, and Cagliari is a 4 hour drive down south. Flights into Olbia - Easyjet flights from London Gatwick, Luton and Bristol. Ryanair from Stanstead, BA from London Heathrow. Jet 2 from Birmingham.
Pittulongu is also ideally sited to explore the beautiful coastline, the renowned Costa Smeralda, or Emerald coast, the marinas of Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo, and the unspoilt and little known interior of the island.
For our booked guests exclusively we have arranged family friendly charter on a catamaran and a motor boat, with English spoken skippers.
Available on request at very good rates from June to September.
Water sports, tuition and hire of paddle boards, windsurfers, dinghies and ribs are available locally.
Sardinia is a paradise for sports enthusiasts with a wide range of sports available locally from cycling to caving to golf on one of the prettiest golf courses in the world, the renowned Pevero Golf Club.
There is a fun water park nearby.
Most towns have colourful markets during the week.
In the main summer months there are also night markets in Olbia and Golfo Aranchi which are always fun to wander around.
Sardinia is a great location for immersing yourself in local traditions and history, and is famous for it various colourful festivals held throughout the year. In August there is a world famous jazz festival, along with various important yachting events throughout the year.
