Lovely and graced with vintage charm, as well as all of the modern conveniences, you need only step outside the front door to find endless opportunities to explore, hike, bike, swim, or just breathe in the ocean air and refresh.
This location is "over the top" family friendly! Shearwater cottage is a 15 minute stroll walk to the white sands of Pemaquid beach. There you'll find more of the Atlantic (yes the big ocean). Beachcomber nature center offers conservation based activities for young minds, Mimi's By The Beach offers lunch and dinner, as well as lots and lots of sand and lingering sunsets.
This four bedroom, three and a half bath beauty was recently built with an authentic Maine vibe and comfort in mind. Two levels of "shiplapped" charm include an open living area with vaulted ceiling and lots of windows~an invitation to natural light and views of the beautiful secluded wood setting.
The kitchen was created for chefs on vacation by chefs, two decks, a walk out basement with entertainment system and game room.
There's more to enjoy on the outside including a grill, fire pit, horseshoe pit, and of course everyone's favorite-cornhole! Oh and it also includes a view of the Milky Way and ten billion stars (quite likely but not guaranteed.)
This home is year round and can be rented with a three night minimum from November - May.

Summary: Our family of 9 enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! Rooms were larger than expected, and we all had plenty of room to gather or find a quiet place to rest. There were plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. We enjoyed the fire pit one evening. Property is located on a private lot just a short walk from the Pemequid Trail. There are many things to enjoy nearby including Pemaquid Beach, Pemaquid Lighthouse, Fort William Henry, Hardy Boat, New Harbor, LaVerna Preserve and more. There is a small well stocked grocery store and ice cream shop nearby as well. It is well located for day excursions to many other locations. We had good communication with the property manager. We would definitely return to this home in the future! The only thing I would mention is that there aren't blinds or curtains on the windows. The home is surrounded by woods, so privacy isn't so much of a issue as the light coming in early on a summer morning. Perhaps bring eye masks if you are sensitive to light. :)

Summary: My family had a wonderful time at this beautiful, well appointed home. It looks like it was built and decorated by Joanna and Chip Gaines! It was very comfortable and modern. We had a wonderful relaxing vacation here! Recommend!

Summary: This house is beautiful with plenty of room and comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. It is about a 20 minute walk to the beach. We drove so we could bring our gear. Dogs next store barked at all hours, which was unfortunate, and bedrooms need curtains.

Summary: I have been going to Pemaquid Point for over 40 years and this house was by far the nicest I have rented in area. Like new, spacious living area and bedrooms, beautiful kitchen and multiple bathrooms. House is at end of a road and secluded but quick walk down street and you are taking morning walks by water on Pemaquid Trail. Hosts were always available and quick to answer any questions before and during stay. Already booked next year!

Summary: Perfect mid-Coast location with wonderful hosts - Beth and Warren really put in special touches (I had fresh Zinnias in my bedroom, fresh hydrangea decorated the porch, lots of throw blankets, plenty of towels, umbrella by the door) with a very thoughtful and well-equipped home. Everything was well stocked and logical to access. Easy walk down the road and through a trail to get to the water - took the dog there daily for a good walk. Super nice neighborhood with friendly residents - met quite a few while dog walking (including Beth!) and everyone is so friendly and helpful. House is peaceful and relaxing, very well decorated, completely private, with quick access to the beach. It is surrounded by beautiful Maine woodlands, complete with red squirrels, moss, a crazy variety of mushrooms, and wild turkeys. Beth and Warren even had the fire pit ready to go. Would be great for families as there are extra bunk beds and a TV downstairs for the kids. Highly recommend this property.

Summary: The newly constructed house was very comfortable. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. The open concept is bright and inviting with high ceilings and whitewashed pine all around. The forest setting was quiet. The kitchen was perfectly suited for gourmet dinners. Frequent visitors were a flock of turkeys and deer. Thanks Warren for a wonderful stay!
