Little sister of the cottage: "Chez Paulette" (Ref: HDRF10428476), this farm is ideally located at the gates of Périgord Noir and close to the main sites such as: Sarlat, Lascaux, the Vézère valley, the Dordogne valley, Périgueux and Brantôme. You can also indulge in many leisure activities such as: canoeing, tree climbing, horse riding, visiting numerous castles, caves, museums and even exploring long-distance hiking trails. Quiet, this old 18th century house, despite a complete renovation, has lost none of its charm and authenticity. With all the modern comforts such as heated floor (in winter), a bathroom WC per room, new bedding (160 on the upper floor, 140 and 90 on the ground floor), its large stone fireplace, its home cinema, equipped kitchen. You will feel the very cozy atmosphere of the place. In the summer, you will enjoy its private swimming pool (heated from 05/18/2024 to 09/28/2024 and on request for a contribution) and its large wooden terrace, don't forget your towels. For walkers, it will be possible to stroll on the property surrounding us or even look for mushrooms in season in our woods.

Summary: Comfortable accommodation with plenty of outdoor space, plus pool and sitting areas Plenty of crockery, glasses, utensils etc, plus large fridge and outdoor fridge and BBQ grill Veronique and Dominique were extremely helpful and communicated well both before and during our stay Rio, their dog, was delightful, :-)

Summary: Perfectly placed property to explore some of the nicest parts of the Dordogne. The property is quiet and tranquil with a lovely rustic vibe. The owners were very welcoming and gave great advice on which places to visit.

Summary: My husband and I rented Dominque and Veronique’s guest house for two weeks in early October. I had high expectations, but this truly exceeded them all. The property was lovely indoors and out. The outdoor had a lovely pool, a charming stone wall and bamboo for privacy and was set in the idyllic Dordogne countryside. Much to my delight, there were two horses and the most charming dog imaginable. The indoors featured thick stone walls from the 1700’s, but also benefited from being modernized perfectly. The architecture was truly lovely with dramatic vaulted ceilings and rustic beams. We entertained friends and family at the house and everyone absolutely loved it. Each bedroom had an en-suite bathroom attached and we had no issues with water pressure or hot water even when six people showered in the mornings. There was also a plancha grill and a covered outdoor dining area as well as the large indoor kitchen table. Every detail of the house was thoughtfully considered. When we arrived, a welcome basket with fresh local vegetables, wine and local preserves awaited us. Our hosts even gave us two bottles of homemade apple juice! I would note that it is important to have a car to fully enjoy the area. We visited medieval villages, castles, caves, wineries, ancient subterranean churches and even took a hot air balloon. This was a trip for my husband’s 50th birthday and we will always have lovely memories of both the house and the breathtaking views of Dordogne. We hope to return soon!
