Summary: We loved 5 Gables!! We rented the house behind the inn . It was fantastic!! Everything we needed was right there. Carolyn brought breakfast every morning like clock work! We were so spoiled! Every breakfast was a delight! Such a treat! The neighborhood is on the water. There are 2 public docks to enjoy. We watched the northern lights one evening. Such a wonderful experience! Can’t wait to go back!!

Summary: Very lovely and magical experience! The home was equipped with everything you need! Carolyn and Ryan are such great hosts! I can not say enough positive things about our experience! This home and experience has been a topic of conversation every day since we left! We can’t wait to return!

Summary: What an amazing place this is. We stayed in the private house, which is situated just behind the inn. Bedrooms were spacious and nicely decorated. Bathrooms were good and stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen was fantastic, well appointed. Coffee maker that uses Keurig pods was a nice touch (you can buy them at the market in town).There's even a small wine fridge. Great dining area as well. Just great for the 5 of us (2 adults, 3 teens) The best views are from the upstairs bedroom. The bay is beautiful and peaceful. Now the cuisine. We've been to many b&b's in our travels. I can say, hands down, none of them can rival Carolyn's breakfast. And she delivered it, personally! Cheese, basil, tomato frittata, fresh squeezed oj, beet/berry smoothie, fresh fruit and the piece de resistance; freshly baked scones with maple glaze! Umm, yummm,wow. The second day was just as amazing. Salmon, goat cheese and dill quiche, lovely pumpkin, cream cheese muffins with a crumble top, breakfast potatoes and a yummy smoothie. We liked her food so much, we bought the 5 Gables cool book! This is a very special place that we're glad to have visited. Bravo Ryan and team, thanks for making our stay so memorable! Summary: Highly recommended! The property is conveniently located within a short drive of Downtown Boothbay Harbor. The view from the house was spectacular and the accommodations extremely comfortable. The breakfasts were truly memorable, and coffee and fresh baked cookies served as a delightful afternoon treat. Carolyn and the Five Gables staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, readily sharing their local knowledge of the area. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
