Positive: Location and views and very nice cleaning and restaurant staff.
Negative: No their fault but VERY noisy all day from 7 am because of beach construction right in front of the hotel. Also the only hotel out of 4 in Bali this trip that applied 3% to payment even though I was using a Wise debit card and paying in Rupiah.

Positive: The location was tucked away down a quiet lane and within walking distance to the shops and restaurants.
Negative: The property hasn’t been touched for many years and is in need of a cuddle. My bathroom was dark, unventilated and smelly. Perfect for breeding mosquitos.
Summary: Suited the budget, but would probably spend a little more and stay elsewhere if given the choice again.

Tucked away at the western end of Candidasa Beach and accessed via a private laneway, this special retreat feels peaceful and secluded from the moment you arrive. Nestled among beautifully manicured traditional Balinese gardens, Puri Oka offers a choice of Garden Rooms, Ocean Rooms, and Villas. The private pool area is a standout feature, accompanied by stunning views of the beach, the ocean, and nearby small islands. What makes this affordable venue even more unique is the warm hospitality from all the staff who go out of their way to make guests feel welcome, relaxed, and well cared for throughout their stay and the excellent choice of menu options from the Hotel Restaurant, that we dined at every night of our stay
Negative: Nothing - as all was as expected. Standard rooms are sufficiently appointed, with effective air-con and standard features for this style of hotel.
Summary: If you are looking for a more traditional Balinese hotel experience then Purka Oka is ideal.

Positive: We have stayed at Puri Oka a number of times. So private, peaceful and relaxing. Right on the beach with a lovely swimming area. The manager, Yoga, his brother Kare and all the staff are super helpful. Kare even ran us to the shop in his own little beep beep car on our first day before we had arranged a bike 😀
Negative: The shower head was quite dismal. The car trip to the airport wasn't much fun.
