Sweet log cabin retreat nestled in the woods, next to a brook with views
of Raccoon Cove. The cabin is surrounded by perennial gardens and a
short path through the garden and woods brings you to the shore of the
cove with beautiful views of Frenchman Bay and the mountains of
Acadia.
The cabin has an open kitchen, living room, and dining area with sliding
doors to a large deck that overlook the gardens and a view of the cove.
The 1st floor bath has a walk-in slate shower and a washer/dryer combo.
The bedroom is located in the 2nd floor loft and has a comfy queen bed.
High speed WIFI is available. Heat is provided by an enamel Hearthstone gas stove with a glass door for ambiance and
viewing pleasure.
Perfect for couples, 2 friends and
singles in need of a quiet, meditative retreat, artist or writing studio or
seeking adventures in Acadia National Park and the beautiful
surrounding area.

The cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood on Raccoon Cove.
Marlboro Beach is 1 mile away and Lamoine Beach is 4 miles away and
both have beautiful views to the mountains of Acadia.
Acadia National Park is the crown jewel of this area and is just 15 miles
away offering wonderful hiking, biking, beach combing, rock climbing
and bird watching.

Summary: My husband and I booked this cabin for part of our 25th Wedding Anniversary trip. The host did such a great job of communicating with me early on and arranging an easy check in. There was a storm during our stay and when the power went out he reached out to make sure we were OK. I highly recommend booking this cabin (just be sure you are good to climb ladders). Fantastic place!

Summary: Great little place for 2 in peaceful surroundings. No neighbors or noise. Ideal location between Mt. Desert Island and Schoodic Peninsula if you plan to do both. Would stay again in a return visit.

Summary: Lovely cabin in the woods that is very peaceful and quiet. The drive to Acadia and other points of interest isn’t too far so that you feel like you’re spending more time in the car than at the destination. Even though the weather wasn’t great, I still had a lovely time. The welcome basket from Glen was a nice touch. Was without Wi-Fi for about 2 days d/t the Hurricane and barely missed it. Pretended I was Thoreau and did some writing and musing. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
