Positive: Room was basic, but overall clean with necessary hotel stay basics! Location offered easy access to both hiking spots we were in town to do and all the stores/restaurants too.
Negative: Room keys did not work the first time we tried to get in, given how big the property is we had to drive back over to the lobby after we got to the opposite corner from it to access our room, carried our things upstairs and couldn’t get in. Even the receptionist was not confident the second attempt would work but told her we’d try and it did (was thankful for that). The pool was closed and says it will be for the entire season which is unfortunate given its summer in AZ and still gets plenty warm in Payson. This was NOT documented on the website or booking and should be since I’m sure plenty of patrons booked at this hotel based on all amenities offered online, only to find out that’s not accurate and the price certainly should be lowered to reflect this as well. Additionally, the breakfast that’s included was significantly talked up when checking in, but we’re not told the hours or location (neither answered online either which is odd and was frustrating). My husband went to scope it out at 9:15 a.m. and grabbed a small plate and then we went down together by 9:30 ahead of going on a hike and the entire “spread” he’d seen was fully put away, cleaned up or off - could hear staff in the back but no one came out to check if we needed anything or to simply say they ended breakfast early? Just odd and disappointing again since this was part of the total cost but positioned as “included” yet we didn’t get this service either.

Positive: Staff was courteous and helpful. Especially when our pass key cards had to be reset several times. Other guests had issues but the late receptionist (8-13-25)was patient and calm.

Positive: Love the size of the rooms and the patio.
Negative: Didn't like that my request online wasn't recognized because we booked so far in advance, and that the pool and spa were down, when that was one of our top 3 reasons for staying at this location.

Negative: The pool was out of order and we were expecting to swim after a great day but the sign said out of order spa was empty Also the fitness room was closed
Summary: The room was big, with a beautiful courtyard. The bathtub took for ever to drain from showers.

Positive: Spacious room, beautiful grounds perfect for walking dog and enjoying a little nature from patio. Good hot breakfast. Great location.
Negative: I didn't care for the small pillows, they were uncomfortable and annoying. My head would slip in-between them and gave me a slight kink in my neck. A couple full sized pillows would be so much better.
