The bright apartments at 1. Floor is about 47 sqm with large southwest facing balcony and views of mature trees. It was newly renovated in 2015 in our 2 family house and fully furnished for 1-2 people. A kitchenette with 2 hobs, micro and fridge, a cupboard, coffee maker and Tassimo coffee maker, toaster and kettle is available.
Your own large shower / bath is just a step away from the apartment next to it. (See also photos)
The house is quietly located near the English Garden, to Marienplatz you are in 20 minutes by the U6, to the airport you also need about 20 minutes by car or you can take the airport bus ..
Towels, tea towels, table linen and linen, including toilet paper, household paper and liquid soap are included in the rental price, the laundry of € 30.
A small cleaning of the bathroom (glass shower walls) with change of towels and bed linen is included 14 daily.
On request, you can request a small starter basket for the first breakfast / dinner cost-effective with us.
Another rooftop apartment can be rented on request. This DG apartment has a special appeal through the wooden beams of the gable roof. They are really enthroned over the houses ..... It spreads over the entire house and has by the slope "only" 29 square meters ..!

Summary: Heike and her husband are very wonderful. They were very accommodating when our flight got in early and helpful with nearby events. The apartment is just outside the city center, only a short train ride away. Nearby the English Gardens. The apartment is tucked away in a quite neighborhood. The apartment was clean and well equipped. We plan to return and would definitely rent again from them!

Summary: I stayed in the apartment for one month in order to work at the Garching Campus of Munich Technical University. For me it was perfectly situated between the English Garden and work. The owners (Heike and Uli) were the best hosts I have had in all of my VRBO, AirBNB, etc experiences. They were friendly but overbearing. The apartment itself was very nice with a small kitchen that worked fine for my needs. I used it for cooking meals and it was well-stocked with all pots, pans, and utensils I needed. The balcony was also very nice to have. I spent many evenings just relaxing outside. I high recommend this property if you staying in Munich. The location is perfect. It's quiet and very pleasant.

Summary: I stayed here for 4 weeks starting mid-October (after Oktoberfest), while working at the Technical University in Garching. The description was very accurate. The owners live on the ground floor and basement, this apartment is on the first floor (2nd floor in US convention), and there is a second, smaller, apartment rented out on the top floor. The access is through the front door of the house, up one flight of stairs, and then into the apartment via a keyed door. Someone was staying above me for about half the time but the sound insulation was good and I was not bothered at all. The kitchen is functional, and there is a nice breakfast table, bench and chairs where one could sit 4 people. I used this effectively as a work desk. The bedroom has two single beds that could be pushed together---these were comfortable. The apartment also has an outdoor seating area (on top of the owner's kitchen) that is south facing and was very pleasant on those days that were sunny. Also good for drying one's clothes (which can be washed in the shared machine on the first floor). The apartment has a good number of windows and was quite light and bright. It was a nice place to hang out and/or work. The neighborhood is residential with a mix of houses and houses turned into apartments, all 2-3 stories, quite up-market. It is very quiet and feels completely safe. The nearest U-bahn station is Freimann on the U-6 line, about a 15 minute brisk walk. This is about half way between downtown and Garching. It took less than 30 minutes to go from the apartment to downtown if you timed it right. The trains run every 10 minutes during the day. There are two stores about 1/2-3/4 mile walk from the apartment---both reasonable, though not that large. It is a similar distance to a couple of nice bakeries and a few restaurants (the latter I didn't try). If you like walking through the woods or along the river the location is ideal. It is at the north end of the English Garden, about a 6 mile walk from downtown or the museums. Heading north there is a strip of woods adjacent to the River Isar and lots of paths to choose from. (I used the app Gaia GPS to find my way.) It is about 6.5 miles to the Technical University. I did a lot of walking on the weekends! Finally, the host Heike and her husband Ulli are very friendly and helpful and responsive. The coffee maker broke, and a new one was found immediately. They leave you to yourself, but are very friendly when you run into them.

Summary: My husband and I stayed at this property for our Oktoberfest honeymoon in Europe, and we had a wonderful time. The room and bathroom were comfortable and had everything we needed for a few days stay. The owner was very kind and thoughtful, and flexible with check-in/check-out times. She also speaks perfect English, which was a big relief! The subway was about a mile away, but through a safe area so we had no problem taking it at night. We would totally stay here again!

Summary: The apartment is exactly as described and is part of a beautiful house in a residential area. About 15 min walk from the nearest metro station. The mattress is comfortable and the bedroom is facing a very quiet yard. The apartment is on the first floor and you have to take a flight of stairs up, so I've had some issues carrying the bags up and down, but Heike kindly arranged for a porter to carry it down for me upon check-out. All of the house rules are very much "enforced", so be prepared to follow them otherwise you won't feel comfortable. I spent a month in the apartment while working at the Technical University, and feel it was a good choice for me to rent it.
