Raggio di Luna is an art nouveau villa ('liberty style') with 120 square meters and garden, modern style, non smoking, recently completely restored, close to the sea and the beach. The geographical location is perfect to explore Tuscany and the Cinque Terre (the Five Lands).
The villa is located in a residential area, one of the quietest area of Viareggio: peace and quiet are guaranteed.
Raggio di Luna is a comfortable spot for enjoying relaxing evenings at home with family and friends during your stay in Viareggio.
In the area parking is free: normally you can park in front of the house and 250m away you can find a large free parking.
We speak Italian and French (mother tongue) and English.

The villa consists of:
Ground: large entrance hall, dining room, living room, fitted kitchen.
1st floor: 2 double bedrooms (bed: cm160x200), 2 single bedrooms each with a single bed (cm80x190), bathroom equipped with all amenities (large shower, wc, sink, bidet and hair-drier).
All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning (the related energy cost is not included in the price).
The villa has 1 balcony in the front side, with access from two of the upstairs rooms.
Small courtyard on the front side; on the back, patio with chairs and table (where you can eat) and garden equipped with garden furniture (umbrella and deckchairs).
The villa has also a laundry room (equipped with washing machine, iron & board, clothes horse) and summer bath with shower, wc and sink.
All rooms are equipped with heating and Schuko sockets.
The villa has continuous hot water production and emergency light.

The sea is 1.3Km away, with a choice at either free beach or beach with bathhouse. The beach has fine golden sand. Perfect for families with children (by car the sea is 2.2Km away).
The beach is easy to reach either by bike or walk along the cycle path leading down to the beach or along the path through the pine forest.
The Lago di Massaciuccoli, in Torre del Lago Puccini, is 7.5Km away. On its shores there are the Belvedere Puccini, the open-air theatre and the Villa/museum of the maestro Giacomo Puccini.

The centre of Viareggio is 1Km away, with the pier, its «Viali a Mare» (Promenade): you will find a wonderful selection of boutiques and shops open until late at night during the summer.
Viareggio applies the touristic tax to be paid cash at your arrival (at the moment €1.50 per person aged from 18 years for the first 10 days). You will receive a receipt accordingly.
At your arrival we will need to see your documents.
The price include does not include energy costs (water, electricity and gaz) from 15/09 to 15/06; energy costs are included ONLY from 15/06 to 15/09 except air conditioning.

Summary: We had a lovely cycling holiday in Viareggio in the last 2 weeks of September 2023. We had a lovely welcome from Ludovico and Marie, who showed us everything we needed to know about the house. It was very clean and we had everything we needed. Anna’s cafe is just around the corner and we went for pastries and coffee most days. We were cycling in the area and had plenty space to store our bikes in the house. The area has a perfect cycle track system and we were able to explore a lot of the area. We also used the train to go into Pisa one day and to take us back to the airport. Ludovico brought us clean bedding after our first week and a gorgeous homemade cake which was very welcome. We felt very supported and looked after. Thank you.

Summary: We had a great family holiday with our 3 kids in the villa Raggio di Luna. Ludovico is a very nice host. The communication before the arrival was perfect. He also helped us with many valuable recommendations in and around Viarreggio. The house is really nice and everything was perfectly prepared. It is a 15min walk to the beach and also to the city centre. We can definately recommend this location.

Summary: Ludovico ico and his home stand head and shoulders above any rental we have ever stayed at in over 35 years of staying in vacation homes. Beds: comfortable. Kitchen: fully stocked and ready to cook in. (Sharp knives and useful pans) Bedrooms: Large. Location: perfect. One great feature of this property that we didnt know about was that there is a separate building in the back about the size of a small bedroom which also has a full bathroom. We used it as a private office but it could also be used as a children's playroom. He called it a summer bathroom but we also used it in the winter with no issues. Ludovico himself is kind, generous and helpful. He went far above and beyond any host we have ever had. The location is fantastic. It is walking distance to the city center, the beach, the train, the promenade and there is a massive park at the end of the block. Ludovico’s home exceeded our expectations in every way and is the new standard which we use to judge other vacation homes.

Summary: This is the second time we have stayed here. We had a very pleasant stay both times. The villa is located in a quiet residential area and Viareggio is a pleasent touristic town. The outdoor with the new patio, the garden with shower and summer baths is fantastic. Finally, thank you to Ludovico for his warm welcome. We hope to come another time.

Summary: The week we spent in Viareggio was very nice and pleasant. The villa itself is big enough (much bigger than we might expect). It is equipped with the new furniture, quite clean and has pleasant "home" atmosphere. Ludovico provided us a lot of helpful information and it made our adaptation to the local life very smooth. The mid-size supermarket (however for us it was big enough) is placed just in 10-15 walking minutes from the house. Distance to the beach was just a bit longer (about 20-25 walking minutes) and the short-cut way goes partly through the local park. Quite surprising was very big and, most surprising, free! sand beach. Water was clean and warm even in September. The train station (located in 45 walking minutes) gives nice possibility to see Toscana without a car (for those who like it). We were really exited visiting Lucca. You find as well a lot of guiding materials about the region (incl. maps) directly in the house. In general, it was a very nice stay in Viareggio.
