Rockn Rowdy Ranch is the perfect stay for families & friends gathering to meet and enjoy their time together. Grill your favorite steak while watching our wide range of domestic & exotic animals grazing peacefully in the pasture right in front of your eyes.
Our ranch is located in a rural setting, which provides a natural habitat for our animals and guests. This provides opportunities or outdoor activities and allows our guests to connect with nature and gain a deeper appreciation for country and ranch life.
There is something for everyone here! Come and meet our diverse family of ranch and exotic animals such as our Miniature Scottish Highlander cows, belted Gallaway, longhorn & zebu. Mingling peacefully among all the farm animals you will see kangaroos, buffalo, sheep, ponies, llamas, pigs, goats, horses, donkeys and mules.
The enclosed deck provides the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast of our fresh farm eggs as you enjoy the views that can only be found at Rockn Rowdy Ranch. But wait - it gets even better with spectacular sunsets, unfiltered starry nights free of city lights, and the simply awesome sensation of being completely immersed in country life.
Relax on the expansive front deck, or take a dip in the cowboy pool and enjoy views of our private lake and pastures with our many grazing animals. What sets us apart are the many different species of animals that live peacefully on a beautiful ranch. Guests are able to pet and hand feed many of the animals that roam freely on the property. These are intimate encounters. There are a variety of other opportunities available to enjoy.
Come experience a Texas ranch the way it was intended - on horseback! Our cowboys will help you saddle one of our beautiful horses and you will be given as much instruction or assistance needed for you to have a comfortable, safe and memorable ride. We cater to all skill levels. Once mounted your adventure begins. You will be guided throughout parts of our beautiful, 100-acre ranch.
If riding horses isn’t your thing, there are other activities you can enjoy that will let you experience the unique adventure at RRR. There is something for every age here! Enjoy taking a covered wagon tour of the ranch and meet & feed our many different animals. During your ride you will encounter & various species of cattle including Scottish Highlanders, belted Gallaway, longhorn, as well as our fallow, white tail deer and red stags. Mingling peacefully among all the animals you will see buffalo, longhorn, sheep, ponies, llama's, kangaroos, pigs, goats, horses, donkeys and mule, emus, ducks & chickens.
Bring your fishing gear and relax fishing one the 2 lakes. Bass, catfish, perch and croppie are ready for fun catch and release fishing. If fishing isn’t for you, there is a paddle boat, paddle boards, kayaks, floats & a row boat for you use. Lifejackets are available but please do bring your own lifejackets if you prefer. For you private use at the lodge you can cool off in our cowboy pool. Our pool is a 10' galvanized steel stock tank pool. It is 2' deep and perfect for adults & children to have fun and cool on in. Summary: We had a great time at the Rockn Rowdy Ranch. My children loved interacting with the free roaming animals and waking up to a zebra in front of the house! Highlights were our youngest riding a pony, horse-back riding, feeding the animals and being able to relax and have fun in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend this ranch for a getaway!

Summary: This is such a great place to stay if you're wanting to relax! A group of us stayed in the very cozy lodge for the weekend and had a fantastic time! First, the people: the owner is johnny-on-the-spot with communication. She gives all the information you need for your stay, including reminders about the closest towns with groceries/shopping and tips on local restaurants. Crystal and Ethan, the ranch caretakers, are SO special! They are kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. The lodge itself is very cozy - spacious, kitchen equipped with everything you need, and comfortable beds and linens! We went out with Ethan on Saturday morning to feed the animals - what a treat! The animals are adorable. I think we would all agree that Bear (Great Pyrenees) was our favorite though. He was our "protector" all weekend. This was the perfect "halfway point" for friends living in Houston and Dallas to meet up. Pretty sure this will become our yearly girl's trip meeting place! Thanks, Susan, Crystal, and Ethan!

Summary: I looked long and hard for our next vacation place, and I finally landed on the Rockn Rowdy Ranch. When vacationing with a family, it can be hard to ensure you have something that everyone will enjoy. We went with a family of 8, who's ages start at one, then 5 twenty-somethings, and 2 in their 50s... every single person loved it. The hosts were excellent and we felt right at home. We didn't get a chance to do all that is offered there, so we will be back!

Summary: Let’s just say, we didn’t want to leave! The pictures do not give it justice, this property is even more beautiful and peaceful in person. Ethan & Crystal were wonderful, accommodating and available if we had any questions or needed anything. The Wagon feed was so much fun and such a memorable experience, we also rented Golf Carts which made it very easy to explore the property. We look forward to visiting again in the near future! Thank you Rowdy & Sue for sharing this amazing place with us.

Summary: I have never stayed on the grounds of an exotic ranch before. What an experience.... hands down the best time we have ever had at a VRBO. Hand feeding a Buffalo are you kidding me! Caught 10 nice size bass in less than 4 hours. Sue and her team do a great job making you feel at home. Thank you Crystal and Ethan for the great time. A couple of things to make sure you do: Rent the golf cart, Buy the bucket of feed, eat at the Leona General Store and relax...
