Positive: I think this may be the best accommodation I’ve stayed in, in the UK for all of the reasons already mentioned: Warm welcome from Frank the host, wonderfully spacious and well maintained room. The condiments were a cut above too with fresh milk. Also ice to have with any drinks from the reasonably priced mini bar. Pool was very clean and a good temperature. As well as all this, the location is beautiful and peaceful and is a stones throw away from other Suffolk gems. I had a lovely meal at The Bell Inn at Kersey which is a beautiful spot. I really hope to squeeze in another short break to this place soon.

Positive: Incredibly welcoming team to look after us throughout the stay, beautiful grounds and pool which was great with the hot weather we were having during our stay, rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. Such a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Positive: The swimming pool was excellent. Very clean and well maintained. The service was just perfect. We were left alone to enjoy our stay but attended to when needed. Great for much needed privacy and relaxation.

Positive: Friendly introduction when we arrived, good facilities, self service 'bar' was reasonably priced, swimming pool was excellent and opened for us at 7:15am. Liked all guests sitting at same breakfast table as we met and spoke with some interesting folk. Breakfast well served by polite and attentive staff, the fresh fruit salad was excellent!
Negative: The pastries at breakfast were not up to the standard of the rest of the breakfast. Some of the decoration in the room was looking a little tired.

Positive: Frank and staff were charming and keen to make sure I enjoyed my stay. This I did, and even extended my stay! The pool was immaculate and I swam twice a day. The location, garden full of roses and three extremely well behaved Fox Red Labradors added to the country house atmosphere.
Summary: A very relaxing, comfortable short break within easy reach of Sudbury and Long Melford.

Positive: Frank, the host, was most attentive and helpful. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with as were the staff. They were all friendly and approachable. The facilities and our room were tip top. The pool was clean, and not to deep, and we used it a lot, as we did the croquet lawn. The only down side was that we only had 2 nights there. Highly recommend this beautiful place.
