Nestled on cozy Shay Lake in northern Wisconsin, Lone Cedar Cabin is perfect for a week on the lake or a weekend hitting the trails! Our peaceful 1300 square foot cabin sits on 50 feet of lakefront property. With 3 bedrooms and a spacious living area, there is plenty of room for groups up to 12. (Note the additional per person fee for groups over 8.)
Shay Lake is yours for fishing, swimming, or boating. Rent our 22 foot pontoon boat to make your stay more fun!** Relax at the cabin or check out the surrounding areas of Lakewood, Suring, and Crivitz. In the summer, try whitewater rafting, golfing, biking, gift shops, wineries, casinos, or horseback riding. For a winter getaway, add ice fishing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling to the list! Information on nearby attractions and activities are available in the cabin or use the Wi-Fi to plan your own adventure.
Oconto County has 450+ miles of ATV trails and many snowmobile trails. Trail maps for both are available in the cabin. We have plenty of parking for your trailers and vehicles, plus you can connect to the trails directly from the cabin. In the summer, just a quick ride out of the mile long driveway will bring you to the trails where you can travel in any direction, seeking out your favorite destination, bar, casino, or restaurant. If traveling by sled, a ride across the lake will get you to the snowmobile trails or head out the driveway where you can take a quick ditch ride and hook directly up to the groomed trails.

Summary: We loved our first family vacation. The cabin was super clean and spacious. With a baby next time would bring a gate for the steps from kitchen to living area. Pontoon rental totally worth it. It was relaxing, quiet and safe. Would recommend and will rent again.

Summary: The cabin was lovely! Everyone slept comfortably in the large rooms. Four young kids took over one of the bunk rooms and loved hanging out and having a “sleepover” Beautiful lake nice and quiet. The cabin was a perfect retreat to hang out and relax! Lake was great for swimming! We all had a ball!

Summary: Some difficulty with GPS finding the address. You turn on a grandma’s lane and take a drive through the woods. It was absolutely gorgeous but at first I was panicking that we were not on the correct road. All is well, just keep driving. Great hosts, lovely cabin. Small lake that we really enjoyed kayaking on daily. We also brought inflatable tubes and the kids had fun playing on those. It’s the most clear lake water we’ve ever seen.

Summary: Very good property, and cabin has a lot of great amenities. We did have a great time, one thing that was a little bothersome was the owners stayed 2 houses down and did show up multiple times. Other than that everything else was great.

Summary: Peaceful stay. Boat rental was worth it. Loved it, would stay there again. Cabin had everything we needed. And when we did have questions, hosts responded quickly. Not as secluded as I thought it was going to be but it we were one of 3 boats on the lake everyday so that was awesome.
