Welcome to our private sanctuary in Half Moon Bay! Just a ten minute walk through state park to the beach, this has been our family's home for many years. That means high quality appliances, fixtures, dishware etc and lots to do in the house, from video games to multiple movie rooms. You won't walk in and see a turnkey investment property, we've spent many years making our home beautiful and comfortable.
We have two young kids and a dog, so everything is well set up for families and pets!
Our home is a spacious 4,000 square feet and sleeps 10 comfortably. We can squeeze 12 in a pinch depending on bed needs. A new construction home with views over the ocean, state park in the back yard and easy access to the California coast side.
Amazing for a reunion or getaway where large groups can relax together in the living room or patio, overlooking the ocean!
Outdoors
* Gorgeous panoramic ocean views from deck and most rooms.
* House backs on to state forest with lots of biking and hiking trails.
* 15 minute walk from the beach (through the forest).
* Great weather almost all year round - often shorts and t-shirts in winter.
* Fantastic, large deck with a fire pit, love seats and beautiful view of the stars and ocean. You can often spot three planets with the naked eye.
* Hot tub on deck fits 6 people.
Indoors
* Beautiful, high ceiling living room with more than 30 hue smart bulbs, a great stereo, and a fireplace. It's a wonderful evening social area.
* Great kitchen with excellent cookware, chef's torch, sous vide machine, etc.
* We provide condiments, spices, oil, etc. and everything you would need for cooking.
* All the beds and pillows are high-end, brands (including Tuft and Needle, Leesa, Casper mattresses and pillows).
* Beautiful, newly remodeled master bathroom with jacuzzi bath tub. Shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers, curling irons, etc. provided.
* Three private work spaces with desks - one in the downstairs suite, one in second living room, the other in a dedicated office. Large whiteboard (72"x36") with pens etc.
* Private balconies in the master bedroom and office.

* 55" Samsung frame TV in the main living room, that turns into art when not being used.
* 140" movie screen (a projector on a white wall) and great sound.
* 49" 4K TV in the downstairs suite, plugged in to Netflix and Prime Video.
* 70" projector in the play room downstairs so kids can watch movies with the Apple TV. There are no windows in that room so it's a great movie spot no matter the time of day.
Kids & pets
* Well behaved pets are welcome. Our backyard is fully enclosed.
* Common areas are generally child proofed. We can provide pack-n-play and high chair for a child under 2.
* Family room with lots of toys and games.
* Play room with movie theater, a mountain of Lego and various other toys.
* Surfboards, boogie boards, beach mat, beach tent, beach towels and sand toys provided on request.
Location
* 20 minutes from San Francisco, 30 minutes from the airport, 35 minutes from Palo Alto.
*15 minute walk to beach, 20 minute walk/5 minute drive to Pillar Point Harbor for local fish restaurants, ice cream, kayaking and boating.
* Easy parking. Nema outlet in the garage for EV charging (please bring your cable).

Summary: We hosted a retreat for a university club at this house! We were impressed by how big and creative the house was. Really liked the projector with the apple TV system that was also paired with some of the best sound systems I have ever heard in a house. Would've been much nicer if there were subscriptions available already. We were a bit disappointed by the VR headsets. We were under the impression they were going to be Meta Quests, but in reality, they are simply just goggles that you have to slide your own phone into. View is amazing and the hot tub was awesome! Great place to host a retreat.

Summary: We stayed here for a women’s friends weekend. The house was perfect for all of us. Lots of room, well equipped kitchen, and lots of hiking and activities nearby. Felt like staying in someone’s home instead of a VRBO home. Excellent and prompt communication with owners. Definitely recommend!

Summary: The house was very clean, bright and airy. Had beautiful views out of the windows. Had a super nice deck that was really enjoyable to spend time on. The backyard was amazing for our two toy poodles. They loved it. The whole yard was beautifully landscaped, and we enjoyed checking out all of the succulents they had grown. The host was very nice and responded quickly to messages. Now the downside... No where in the description of the property did it say how many stairs there were throughout the house. Not a big deal if no one in your group has mobility issues. Huge Deal and honestly almost impossible if you do have mobility issues. Most rooms in the house have stairs into each room. Along with stairs there are no handrails (except the basement stairwell). We brought my elderly mother with us on this trip and it was beyond stressful trying to help her up and down stairs with out handrails every time we moved rooms. Two falls occurred because of the lack of handrails. With beautiful dark hardwood floors it was also very hard to see where the steps ended and the floor began. We would stay here again but NEVER with anyone who has mobility issues.

Summary: Our family had the vacation together we hoped for. We caught some of the recent weather south of San Francisco, fortunately the house was set up for us to enjoy our grandsons inside as the storms passed. The large bonus room with plenty of toys and easy to work projector provided a warm room to watch their favorite video’s. Meals at home were a breeze with the kitchen amenities and well stocked condiments you hate to buy on vacation. The adults enjoyed a much needed break with the big screen on the main floor and the hot tub with fire pit on the deck. Danielle and Rich were very attentive to all our questions and communications.

Summary: This is one of the nicest and most comfortable rentals I have ever stayed in. The house is massive, the views are immaculate, the hosts are lovely, and every accommodation you might want is provided. My friends and I slept 10 comfortably and had plenty of room to relax and unwind for the weekend. None of us wanted to leave!

Summary: This was a great place to stay! The house is spacious and has incredible amenities for young children (e.g. a fully-stocked playroom and cute bunk room). One thing to keep in mind is there are a LOT of stairs -- including 1-2 steps up and down from the kitchen, living room, dining room, etc. -- which could be challenging for new walkers in the 1-1.5yo age range. The location was great for walking and biking, as well as for visiting HMB favorites like Sam's Chowder House. Hosts were very communicative and helpful. There were a few inconsistencies with the listing (e.g. no longer a Tesla charger, and I didn't realize the 3rd bedroom was on the basement level so it's a bit cave-like compared to the light & views of the upper level), but nothing that's a dealbreaker. Would recommend!
