Positive: Espresso coffee and omelet station at breakfast are good. Location is fine and easily within pick up routes of tour companies. Staff is welcoming.
Negative: Not sure how this hotel is rated over a 9. It's straight middle of the road. It's fine but tired. Request a high floor. It's loud. The windows are thin so street noise is unavoidable. The bathrooms are small with paper thin doors, where the countertops are chipped and wallpaper is peeling. No privacy at all. The AC has a very hard time with the heat and humidity. Expect most of your stuff to be damp at the end of the trip, especially if you're staying during rainy season. Our TV volume did not work, even at the highest volume you could barely hear a whisper. They sent two maintenance guys over two consecutive days to fiddle around with wires. It was obvious it just needed to be replaced. In the end they offered to move us rooms but we declined to avoid the hassle or repacking. The TV wasn't necessary but combine that with a coffee machine that didn't work and was never replaced even after telling the front desk, and a breakfast buffet that doesn't serve half of it's offerings until after a lot of the early tours have already picked up (pre 7 am starts for a lot of canal and jungle trips). It was just...meh all around. Does it work? Sure. Will I be back. Nope.

Positive: Nicole and David at front desk were exceptional!! Friendly, and spot on with breakfast delivery. Special surprise anniversary gift topped it off. Kudos to the whole crew there. Will go back!!

Negative: Poorly built which is not what I expected for Marriott - the quality build is low considering it’s anew hotel it’s already aging. Prefer to stay in old town next time.

Negative: AC did not work when I arrived but was fixed a while after, room smelled old and moldy. Bathroom looked old and toilet had lots of rust but yet they claimed to be recently renovated? Staff was great but too attentive. If I walked the lobby I had about 10 staff rushing to greet me lol. Pillows are not good
