Positive: Breakfast was good. I'm not really a breakfast food person so I'm not a good judge but I did enjoy the selection. There was a lady tending the buffet, I believe her name was Margaret. She was very friendly and helpful when we asked for suggestions on tourism.

Positive: The breakfast was good, always several options. I really would have preferred to have the waffle available every morning. In the evenings they always had some hot food available: meatballs, baked beans and mashed potatoes; spaghetti with meat sauce and corn on the cobb, etc. Beds were comfortable. The location was excellent for where I had to go every day. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Negative: The room was dirty. I had to request housekeeping to come when I arrived - the stove was covered with cooked on food. I got some water on the floor in front of the bathroom sink, when I wiped it up, the paper towel was filthy. The hard floors obviously weren't mopped correctly before I checked in. The kitchen was poorly equipped for cooking. There was only one semi-sharp knife, the style and size of a bread knife. No smaller prep knife. There were two pots/pans, so horrible stained and burned, they were too unappetizing to use. I had a pizza to bake, but I found no baking sheet or pan. I had to go to the kitchen and fortunately they were able to give me some foil that served the purpose. There is a kitchen table and chairs that I was unable to use. The chairs have a very short back that doesn't even come up to the waist. The seats aren't high enough to comfortably reach the table to place your arms on to eat. Without a proper back to grab, the chairs are very difficult to move. You have to bend over and pick them up. I had to eat sitting on the couch using a tiny snack table.
Summary: Not sure at the moment if I would stay here again.

Negative: The shower & tub water faucet handle did not work properly. Hot water ran out too quickly for 2 people showering.
Summary: Overall very nice and pleasant stay for a long weekend.

Positive: Location was convenient to MUSC Surgery Center. Especially impressed with: First day had emergency cut on palm of hand and the janitor was most helpful in cleaning and bandaging using first aid kit at office before I drove to Access Urgent Care for stitches. During stay he compassionately inquired about my injury and my husband’s surgery recovery.
Negative: Reported small insects in room but nothing apparently was done about it. They continued throughout stay.
