Positive: Excellent riad. The accommodation is exactly as in the pictures, i.e. comfortable bedroom directly connected (there is no door in between) to bathroom and toilet. Both compartments (the bedroom and the bathroom) are clean and well equipped and provide all needed for a comfortable stay. The riad itself is a historic house in an atmospheric small street of the old downtown of Marrakesh and its vintage style contributes for the overall atmosphere of the place. The truly exceptional ingredient of the riad are the hosts, Nadia and Phil. Nadia takes care the guests to experiences the best of Moroccan hospitality, starting with delicious and diverse traditional breakfast and going further to provide excellent recommendations how to enjoy Marrakesh in the best way possible. Very warm, personal and sincere, human atmosphere that in itself is unique ingredient of the experience.

Positive: We absolutely loved our stay! Nadia made us feel truly at home from the very first moment – she’s incredibly kind, helpful and always made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfasts were delicious, fresh and beautifully served. The whole riad was spotless, cozy and smelled amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Marrakech. Positive: This Riad is in a quieter location of the Medina. The home is lovely decorated, and had a nice area in which to relax outside of our room. The rooftop terrace where breakfast is served is also very nice . Nadia the owner/host was very pleasant and helpful. She recommended a great local restaurant for dinner, which was very good. She also walked us to the meeting point for the driver she had booked for us (at our request) to take us to the train station when we were leaving. To top if off Nadiia served a delicious breakfast each of the 3 mornings we were there.
Negative: Nothing.
Summary: I give this Riad 5/5 for sure, and definitely recommend it!

Positive: Nadia is an amazing host. She made our stay in Marrakesh unforgettable.The breakfast is very delicious and offers a variety of traditional Moroccan dishes and really amazing Moroccan tea. The place is very clean and spacious with a large bathroom. The location is close to the busy streets of the medina but the street itself is small and quiet. It is really easy to get by foot to the main attractions and nice restaurants.

Positive: Nadia was the best host ever; she came to greet us to the taxi, helped with booking a hammam, and so on. Despite the language barrier, we could discuss everything. We really felt at home and had perfect, tasty, homemade breakfasts. The Riad is about 15 minutes walk from Jamaa el Fna, but is in a more quiet area. Nadia was also very flexible, as a lot of programs in Marrakech start at 8, so we had a few early breakfasts as well. We slept extremely well; it was quiet and relaxing. Highly recommended!

Positive: Nadia is a great host, the absolute best that you could imagine and she is so generous and very helpful. She really cares about her guests and their well being. She is a fantastic chef and the meals that she made for me were better than any restaurant. When I needed directions to go somewhere she offered to escort me there, when I needed help with anything, like getting a SIM card they went and got one and assisted me with it's instructions. The accommodation was great, the bedroom and bathroom were very nice and the bed was really comfortable, I slept like a baby. After I left to continue my trip in Morocco she messaged me a few times to see how things were going and to ask how I was doing. She is a wonderful and caring person.
Negative: Everything was beyond my expectations, it is a great place to stay

Positive: I stayed at Riad dar karmen for 6 nights. Nadia is super nice and very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The room was as in the picture so I got what I expected and it was very comfortable. The rooftop terrace was my favourite spot but I also chilled out in the communal area which is beautifully tradicional when it was raining. The breakfasts are substancial and very tasty, I love all the different types of bread and pastries served. Nadia doesn't speak English and I only have school girl French but we had some nice conversation with the help of Google translate!! I also had dinner in the Riad twice and I can honestly say itwas better than the other dinner I ate outside, very good value and again substantiantial and very tasty. The riad is a short walk to most things and at night its very quiet. I definitely recommend a stay here, it is very good value and Nadia makes it feel like home.
Negative: Would've been good to know about the tourist tax when booking as I wasn't aware.
