Summary: We weren't sure what to expect because this property is unique...but we had an excellent time. Great space and location to spend time with a big family group. Loved being close to the water and spending time on the property and in the area.

Summary: I grew up in Dixon but don’t have family living there anymore. My brother had recently passed away and we had his service & Celebration of Life in town and had several family members coming from out of town/state. It was absolutely perfect for our needs! Not only did it accommodate our large group, it gave us a beautiful, peaceful location to all be together opposed to 6 or 7 hotel rooms with no gathering place. Not to mention the benefit of being able to take walks through the gorgeous park. Bringing linens etc was some extra work, yes, but well worth it. Would do it all over again!

Summary: We love Woodcote! We have enjoyed several stays there. Our one ongoing struggle with the rental is that the fire wood is wet and there is no kindling or paper provided. A key feature to Woodcote in the winter is sitting by a fire in the beautiful fireplace but it is very difficult to get a fire going and keep it going.
