Summary: We really enjoyed the stay. The beds and linens were excellent. The location was good. The kitchen was fully stocked. The house overall however seemed a bit “tired” and could have used a bit up upgrading especially the carpet

Summary: Perfect location, especially when you have been away from NZ a while or visiting from the city. Sitting on the foyer watching the sunrise and hearing only the river flowing was majestic, and walking the track along the river was just as beautiful. We loved exploring the walks, lake and rivers then being able to return back to the house to cook together rather then dining out, it was such a relaxing and personal weekend. Everyone in our group from 5yrs to 45yrs loved it.

Summary: Our stay here was amazing, communication with the host was excellent along with the facilities provided. The neighbourhood is beautiful and safe. Would love to stay again some day! (Tried to leave a review earlier but didn’t go through).

Summary: This property was perfectly suited to my husband and I, our 2 daughters, son-in-laws, and their families. We loved the location, with the views, large green space and hiking trails right out front! There was ample parking for 3 vehicles and a boat, and the boat launch is just 10 minutes away. The house was well equipped, spacious and comfy, and the table is a great size for family dinners and games! Karen and Patrick were fabulous hosts… very welcoming, helpful and always answered questions immediately. We had a great time here and are already planning our return to Riverside Retreat next year! ❤️

Summary: Great location and a beautiful property. Setup of rooms and house was exactly what we needed for our family weekend away. Communication with Karen & Patrick was easy, clear and quick. Overall a really good experience. Would definitely stay again 🙂

Summary: Great big house with good amenities. We had 8 adults and some kids stay with plenty of space. The nice backyard was a great surprise. Check in and communication were great.

Summary: We had such a great holiday, we went walking on tracks just across road from house, the kids played on skateboards scooters skates on street as was a dead end street and safe. Reminded me of when I was a kid and could be kids, played monopoly and other board games, in house , amazing television, had everything needed for holiday. House was perfect for 2 families, will be booking again.
